Everything about this build is outstanding, from the major changes to the finishing details that some folks might not even notice upon first glance. But man, what a transformation!💙 It's all so tasteful and well-done, but my favorite piece has to be the titanium light bar. Beautifully integrated design.👍 Keep up the great work, John and George.
The truck is absolutely amazing. It feels like a factory build. I really love this truck thinking in 5-6 month yearning to build something else. I live the build.
Great work! I've dreamt of doing the same since I bought my 2019. I'd love to see a follow-up video of you taking it to the dealership for an oil change with some cameras tucked away to get some reactions.
The name of the shop is the same name as our channel. lol. We are primarily a Honda shop but we did the swap. We did share the sources and where to buy everything in the series.
I'm very interested to know what I could reasonably expect to pay for a similar set up for my 2017 ZR2. I'm having numerous issues and wondering if I could just do a swap for a little more rather than repair and wait for more problems.
@LHT Performance what shop I have a 2015 colorado with the gas 2.5L I got the truck for decent price but I hate what lil power it has...it 2 wheel drive base model I don't want nothing fancy dont even have to be a brand new v8 but everything stock like urs will be my daily
Any possibility you’d do my ZR2? I’ve watched all your video and I personally feel like the truck should’ve had a V8 all along or at least optional. Please let me know if your interested.
If we slow down it maybe something we’ll offer. We stay very busy with our Honda work we don’t really have time to bring other kind of work in. We don’t really work on Corvettes any more because of it.
@LHT Performance I have a 2015 colorado with a 2.5l in it I love the look of the truck but it definitely needs a v8 swap if yall do decide to do another build please keep me in mind
I purchased the OEM ones from GM, they turn out to be Rigid. I bought the kit as it came with a wiring harness and switch which I couldn’t end up using. I think they would be cheaper directly from rigid.
A lot depends on what you pay for the engine and transmission. Prices have changed in the last 2 years. I’m guessing you’d be around $8-$10k if you do most of the work.
Yes. I'm doing a 4wd ZR2 right now. Only difference is you have the transfer case from the Silverado and have to get a front driveshaft modification as well as the rear. Also the oil pan needs more clearance.
@@RadoV8Swap That’s good you don’t have an oil Pan clearance issue. It looked like plenty of room for a transfer case. What are you using for exhaust manifolds? The passenger side has lots of room but my drivers side needed some tweaking.
@@LHTPerformance Yes, I bought a hot rod pan that worked but I had to get creative with the oil filter because the front diff was in the way. I saw you having to tweak the manifolds. I think there is a slight difference in the L83 I am using and the L84 you used. My steering isn't as close as yours was. I cycled the steering and the shaft still has about 1/4" clearance so I'll see what it does once I get it started. I had a computer hick-up that I am working on now. My motor supplier sent me the wrong year ECU. So waiting for him to send the correct one so I can get my cranked up. Love the series by the way.
@@RadoV8Swap Good stuff ! Make sure there’s more clearance on the steering shaft. The motor will move on the factory rubber mounts in turns. Mine has about 1/2” but under a hard turn the manifold contacted the shaft just slightly. It’s a great truck with a little more instant power. I’m sure you’re excited
