@@gavinnn7762 yes they are 🤣, search on Google how the Mustang V6 from that generation (2010-2015) sounds, you gonna see it's hella different from the video
I prefer the silence of a soccer mom mustang. But they both almost sound that same, you can hear the gt has 2 more cylinders so it makes the v6 not sound bad,but the the v6 challenger now that one is nasty
The 3.7 is a great sounding engine with the right setup, and it’s fun to drive. 305 hp with the potential to make 600 reliably without opening the motor is great
def better than an eco boost it seems. i blew up my eco boost motor from shitty ass palm beach dyno. blew the shit at 320whp when it should’ve handled far more
@@everythingjonathan8008 that's wild! That's what a 3.7 makes FBO. These things have been proven to even hold up to 650 at the wheels and not blow. Id think the eco would hold at least 400, it shouldn't be that hard to achieve with a downpipe and tune. So your palm beach tune blew it? Id always heard good things about them, thats crazy
Im trying to wrap my head around the 4.0 might have to just make a metal intake myself cause nobody's apparently done it and i doubt the plastic one can hole up good boost pressure, That and i want to make a 4.0 embarrass a 5.0 just to see if it can be done since Im already accustomed to working on it since nobody wants to do the timing chains on them.
@@everythingjonathan8008Ecoboost making 75hp per cylinder from the factory. They have very little headroom. You might get away with a tune, but they called Ecobombs for a reason 🫠.
Can confirm this. My wife has a 2012 3.7 and I have a 2013 GT 5.0. With Borla Atak exhausts they both sound similar when revving. I love my car but I would also own a 4.6. They seriously sound meaner.
Mustangs just all sound amazing no other car can really match the tones, love how my 2001 v6 mustang sounds more like a v8 with the notes of the exhaust
@trevorshark16 it's a shame that Ford didn't take time to actually make the three valve a better performing engine. It has some serious potential. The newer shape mustangs don't have the classic design throw backs. In fact, the S650 just looks like a refreshed S550.
The v6 was 300 horsepower stock. I have driven them and have no complaints. They aren’t as neck snapping “ torquey” as the GT but they are a more rational alternative when it comes to fuel economy and insurance premiums than the GT. They also handle a bit better thanks to their lighter weight and better balance. There’s no downside to complain about. Take your pick and sign the contract.
The V6 only sounds like this from 1) specific exhaust system and also 2) the 3.7L V6 known as the “cyclone” from ford in the mustang from 2011-2017 equipped with the 6spd manual transmission is a direct replica of a 5.0 coyote but with 2 less cylinders this why when built the 3.7 will be rowdy as shit
