Join me on this virtual tour of my ham radio station focussed on satellite and VHF operation. I present an overview of the antennas, tower, feedlines, rotators, transceivers and software used in my home amateur radio station.
Equipment seen includes Icom IC-7300 HF/6m transceiver, Icom IC-9700 VHF/satellite transceiver, Yaseu G-5500 rotators, MFJ manual tuner, and various home-brew antennas and hardware.
With this station setup I placed 1st in the 2020 AMSAT Field Day on the Satellites in the Home - Commercial Power class. I also placed in the top 10 for the 2020 ARRL June VHF contest in the single-operator 3-band (low power) class.
Recorded in Keswick, Ontario on November 28, 2020.
Presented to the York Region Amateur Radio Club on December 1, 2020.
