Vacation Bike ride Pittsburgh to Ohiopyle (on way to Washington DC) 

Day One: Ride with us from Pittsburgh PA to Washington DC on the GAPCO ride, Greater Allegheny Passage bike trail and C&O canal path, 335 miles.

Day One of the GAPCO ride from Pittsburgh to Washington DC. This ride shows highlights of our 68 mile day on the Greater Allegheny Passage bike trail.
Date of ride: June 5, 2022 (DAY ONE)
Bike route: We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel on 658 E Waterfront Drive in Munhall, PA, just outside of Pittsburgh. We pedaled east on Waterfront about a half mile (on a bike lane) until we picked up the Greater Allegheny Passage at Mile Marker 7. We stayed on that the rest of the ride, which was 68 miles that day, ending in Ohiopyle, PA.
