Thanks for showing the back of Olivanders, seems like every other video I watch cuts off before they get to the back. If I went there, I would probably end up spending something like $400 just in Olivanders.
The shop assistant's accent is remarkable! No-one of my acquaintance sounds quite like that, though I can think of some wizards who might like to. Still, he gives an excellent performance ... for a muggle!
does the person chosen get a custom/unique wand or would it still be based around the characters? because i read that they only sell character wands at the other places and i think itd be awesome to have a unique wand
jjk1997 nope it's based off of woods shop.universalorlando.com/c/Harry-Potter-Interactive-Wands.html there are 16 or 15 different wands (not character wands the wands with wood names)
No, the person selected to participate still has to pay for it should they want the wand they were given. My best friend was selected when we were there a few days ago, and she bought her wand. Hope this helps! :)

Hey no problem bud. It's an experience and not everyone gets to see it first hand and just trying to show a little bit of what I can, but it is a sight to see in person.
Seriously, I think it's sort of unfair how they choose people in Ollivander's. My friend was there, and she really wanted to get chosen, but didn't. She asked her mum to get in line again, but she refused to do it. My friend told me they chose a little kid who didn't really seem into it at all. What's also unfair is that they only choose ONE bloody person out of an eager crowd of like, say, fifty, probably. I mean, I would love to go here.
@strudllekitte339 there's a couple of counters/cash registers in the store after you get out of the showing. And you can skip the showing but what fun is that?

If you haven't been here it's a must!!!!! Put it on your bucket list. This would probably the place if I get cremated I would love to have my ashes scattered ;)
Well it works with anything you enjoy...you like going to movies...you buy a ticket...that supports the people who made it. You like a favorite sports team? Same difference. You like youtube? Same difference...you use the website.
They are made of material called resign. It's like from plants to create adhesives and other stuff. A liquid materaial that hardens...kind of like a sap/amber resemblance. Wiki/google what that consists of for more info.
@VenomShock I didnt see any of the birth month ones, I just saw the character wands and then in another section my mom told me about the special group wands which you have to buy as a group like the older weasley brothers
You will have so much fun....it's just amazing when you get there and soak it all up. Have a great time! Oh and bring lots of money because there are so many things you will want to buy ;)
@Songsmirth The place is located in Orlando, Florida. Located in the USA at Universal Orlando theme park. The wand was like $35.00 and the robes I think were like 75+ maybe even 100+ dollars or so.
@jadaskylar Well it's all by luck/chance. I really cared less when I wasn't chosen. Yeah it's neat and all but I guess there's other things that I seem Id'e rather be chosen for than being in this demo.
@loveuall14 i'm not sure...i wasn't lucky enough to be chosen and i didn't ask the person either.....i guess i don't recall where the person got escorted to afterwards.
BAM I KNEW I wasn't the only one who loved Mcgonagall's wand! haha I got that one, loved it and everyone was like "why did you get that one???" cuz its badass! haha
Just curious, at Ollivander's, do they have all sorts of wands, or is it just the wands of the characters? I really want to go and see if I can get my matching Pottermore wand from the shoppe. Can someone please answer me?
6:50 "Kinda plan a little" How DARE you insult the wand of hogwart's greatest head master! Severus Snape is amazing and his wands slick black look with the encrypted handel is beautiful. Far better then Harrys magical tree branch looking wand or the Elder wand which looks like it was made from honeycombs. I will give you credit that the wands you did pick are rather nice though.
@jadaskylar what?!? I was hoping to go there and get a wand! They don't take children out of a line?! Nice.. people picking out the cute and little kids who probably are thinking "Who's harry potter?" than those older kid who READ the books instead of just seeing the movie..
@hermione428 I just notice that are wands acording to the celtic calendar. Is not exaclty something like "month wand" because are periods between months like the zodiac (there are 3 wands on september: hazel for september 1, vine for september 2- 29 and ivy, for september 30)

@Delc0 Well, for true Potter fans, that are actually excited about being there, like me, they want to get chosen. It just seems like it would be a great experience, and a wonderful memory for a Potterhead.
Question: how much is the Quibbler? I'm getting pretty much Ravenclaw stuff as well as Luna's wand, but I don't know how much the Quibbler is. Is it like $10 or something like that?
They have character wands and they also have wands that correspond with your horoscope. The shop workers ask what your birthday is and your wand gets "chosen". It's quite cool! :)
@jazzygirl3699 I fucking KNOW. It really sucks that they do that. And even after seeing the movie, the kid probably still barely knows who or what Harry Potter is. Sad, isn't it? -__-
@spy85able Have a great time, it is just amazing to be in the whole hogwarts scene and to just stop and stare at all the buildings, the giant castle, and just take it all in. Let me know what wand you get and how the trip goes .
