We flew to Nassau, Bahamas to vacation with MLB stars and legends during the Don't Blink In Paradise Home Run Derby! This was an incredible week full of amazing events that we were lucky enough to attend for a 2nd year in a row, and we played softball, watched the MPB Showcase and of course attended Derby Day...but this year's finish might have been the best one there's ever been! We cannot thank Todd and Lucius enough for inviting us out, we absolutely love The Bahamas and cannot wait to be back again soon and return for next year's Don't Blink Derby!
Day 1 we got to kick things off by taking some hacks and hanging out with some Bahamian superstars during the softball game!! We talked with Don't Blink Co-Founder Lucius Fox and his teammate Lawrence Butler as their squad kicked it off with moonshot home runs...we spoke with Triston McKenzie and Will Benson in the field, and followed Jazz Chisholm Jr. during his bomb and signature euro step around the bases. By the end of the night we all got one at bat for ourselves too, and we made sure to cash in on them...We also got to catch up with Lewis Brinson, Akil Baddoo, D'Shawn Knowles, Tahnaj Thomas, Max Pomeranz, and James Wood!
Day 2 was the MPB Futures Showcase in Paradise! We interviewed baseball's biggest future stars, and had them breakdown their fire uniforms and game day looks. We spoke to Todd Isaacs II about adding the showcase to their event, and we can't thank him enough for helping us out during the week with getting the most amazing content possible. The names at this event were INSANE! We got to meet Yankees legend Derek Jeter and interviewed him, and reunited with Dee Strange-Gordon, Reds legend Eric Davis and slugger Curtis Granderson. We touched in with Juan Hillman about his project and the roots of Festine, and linked up with Guardians outfielder and the first Bat Boys interview of all time, Richie Palacios!
Day 3 gave us Derby Day, and 2023 was Don't Blink's most thrilling yet...we linked up with Milton Ramos and got some FIRE new Paw Gripz chains, and visited NYC Luxury Latino to look at the chain for the winner of the Derby, which he even let us try on! Josh Palacios of the Pirates did not disappoint and absolutely destroyed some balls and took us through his mic'd up round hitting during the Derby. We hung out with Jazz once more and he was awesome enough to hook us up with an autograph we're giving away to YOU! Lewis Brinson also put the mic on for his round too, and we watched Will Benson put on an insane performance in the finals. He showed down against Marlins prospect Breyis Dean, and the ending was one you do not want to miss...
