I have a feeling the reason why the Miele picked up a lot less than the Sebo may be down to seasons. The Sebo was used when the weather was drier, so there would be more dry dust brought in from outside as well as pollen and seeds. I'd estimate they both probably perform about the same as each other.
It might also have been that the machine prior to the Sebo (which I think was cordless) left a lot in the carpeting so the machine may have picked up a month’s prior leftover accumulation.
Ibaisaic I'm 13 and I'm from America now when you reviewed that Hoover that was pulling your carpet up on Thanksgiving I have a Dyson dc17 and it is too powerful for my carpet also but it has 4 lines of Shame. I have been watching you since I have been 9 and I for some reason never said something in the comments. By the way I have a vacuum collection of my own I haven't gotten them all free from the side of the road I think I'm on the 40 vacuum. Merry Christmas🎄
Thank you again sir. I bet you cannot wait for Christmas to be over so you can get rid of rusty elf. I hope santa is good to you because you're efforts are well deserved. Good luck with the cordless vacuum cleaners this month.
The rusty elf will be thrown to the dogs if he doesn’t behave himself. Like the human Rusty, he doesn’t dogs. The cordless vacuums are doing quite well judging by the amount of dirt I keep emptying out of them.
I enjoyed it for a year, but having to use the same vacuum for a month felt a bit restrictive to me as I often wanted to try another machine. Hopefully you will enjoy all the videos I have planned for 2019 and beyond.
This is the Miele upright I had. I bought it at bed bath and beyond. I got it on closeout. The foot pedal release broke maybe a year or so in. The black piece on the wand adjuster broke off one day. I was not pleased at all. The wand still extended, but that piece was gone. Other than that it was a decent cleaner. I got rid of it. But when I was in the market for a canister vacuum I went another Direction. Believe it or not I have been far more pleased with my riccar canister, with electric head, than I was this Miele. My experience with this Miele drove me away from paying $700.00 for the smallest Miele canister with electric head. Miele hd such a great reputation. My own experience was quite disappointing
The problem with your Sebo x7 weight is you haven’t accounted for the weight of the things you added to stop it from smelling. That might be what is pushing it over the top.
Is it possible that the Sebo was being used during a particularly dirty month? Certainly not trying to dethrone the Sebo, I adore both Miele and Sebo. I've owned the Twist before though, and it was spectacular. I liked it more (albeit slightly) than my C3.1 Airbelt.
The little handheld shark should be interesting, I like the look of it , I’ve got my eye on of those for the kitchen as got an old 14v Cordless Hoover Jovis handheld with a docking station that is showing its age now (probably one the better Modern Hoover machines lol)
I’ll have a better knowledge of the Shark hand held after using it this month. I would say it has more suction than the Jovis and its slim design gets into tight spaces, but the bin is tiny so needs emptying every time.
In my experience, corded vacuums are better than cordless for dirt pick up despite Mr Dyson’s claims. With technology improving all the time, I think we may see cordless vacuums with much better performance and run times in the near future.
It`s a pity about thee Shark Powered liftaway not winning but at least another Shark has won it will be interesting to see how you get on with the handheld Roger (at least the awful Dyson did n`t win anything but Dyson thankfully)
I'm so glad the Roomba won. I missed voting and I would have voted for that too so I'm pleased about that. I use a neato xv signature pro for cleaning my flat and it's brilliant. I'm hoping to get a neato botvac connected in the future though as they are more up to date and look as though they clean a lot better. I can't wait to see the result of the Roomba and shark combi. fingers crossed for a good result :)
I would love to try a Neato at some point. I am enjoying using the Roomba and it has surprised me every time I empty the bin. I may start using a robotic vacuum on a daily basis next year to keep the carpets and floors looking clean, though I will need to use a mains powered vac to get the deeper dirt out.
Well, I had a feeling the Shark handheld and Roomba would take the vote, its what i voted for, and I think its nice that Roger will have a break in December, free to do more vacuuming for his advent videos. Its also great that a robot vacuum got to feature for vacuum of the month, as we've already had uprights, stick vacs and cylinders, so a robot had to be featured really. I dont think the Roomba will take the prize for most dust pickup, but it will certainly be interesting to see how it copes with Daisy's dog hair on the carpets. I'm sure everyone will be looking forward to the 23 remaining advent videos too Roger!
This is not really an accurate test because it depends on how much dirt you have on your floors each month For example you may have had more dirt in the floor when using the sebo than when you were using the miele
I never pretend it an accurate or scientific test, it was nore about using the same vacuum for a month and seeing what I thought of it. I think that in a proper test with a measured amount of dirt, the Miele would out perform the Sebo. I will be discussing all this in the last video.
forget vacuum of the month, do vacuum of the day or week? Roger, please do a PayPal again, I'm skint at the min so I'm going to miss the chance to get you an Amazon gift card.
