Love these classic Sunbeam “tuna can” canister cleaners! From my previous research, the original round Sunbeam canisters debuted way back in the 1950’s. The fans on these early versions were very large and the airflow was reported to be outstanding. Because of the high air flow, Sunbeam was able to offer the world’s first air-driven turbo carpet nozzle! So this Sunbeam is an important part of vacuum cleaner history.
Wow Carl flying saucer era. That it’s unknown by me may be because I don’t live there. US use to design not only the best telephone set or car, but also a Vacuum Cleaner. Today there are a some companies that had Red Dot design awards for vacuum cleaners but watching that era even a cheap vacuum cleaner was a good looking (as you say may be a little noisy) really an era that deserves our appreciation because was there years ago that those companies design good appliances, sorry my bad English.
No worries! Oh yes! The designs of vacuum cleaners used to be so cool! And they really did make a customer feel appreciated too. Thanks for the feedback and thank you so much for watching!
