I just picked up a barn find 1990 b2200 5spd single cab. Only 160k miles on it. Ive only had it a month now and thanks too all your videos im working on getting rid of all the unnecessary stuff 🤣.. I'll definitely revert back too most of your videos. Thanks for all the content
So you have to take the thing off the front of carburetor mine runs like shit right now it was running good I just wanted to get all the mess out of there
I'm going to pull off that front thing yall took off. My issue is it's idling high and then when you let off gas it often dies. Like the throttle cable is messed up? Can't wait to afford my weber.
The purpose of this is to get rid of the unnecessary bullshit under the hood and clean it up a little bit. This is all in preparation for a Weber carburetor so that you can really get rid of all of the bullshit emissions that come with these trucks will clean up the engine bay and get better performance with the Weber carburetor.
I performed the delete also. Thank you for the post.. I am running very very rich now.. any suggestions? I just redid the top end of the carb changing the needle and seat, accelerator pump, and blowing out all of the jets… it looks like it is dumping a lot of fuel now.. and, it will not rev up more then 1000. I purchased a Cardone distributor- reman… had to adjust the outer poles to get it to send signal.. any ideas?
The computer is not needed at all. It's still in his truck but like ice shown in other videos, it is not needed and you can toss in the trash as many of us have once we go to a Weber carburetor. This video is an update to another video where we took everything off the stock carburetor and cleaned everything up. We got rid of anything the computer could have controlled.
