@@Lloggz Vacuums do smell like they’re burning when their brushroll gets jammed and the motor pulley rubs up against the belt. It’s basically metal going hard at it with rubber (not saying this in any inappropriate way).
I've got one of those Dirt Devil Platinum Force Self Propelled. That's the correct factory name. It's great! Cleans amazing, and very different to others.
People cutting cords on their vacuums make me so mad. People who are scrappers like you said must stop cutting vacuum cords. Save yourself some money by fixing it like I did with my bissell powerforce bagged. Saved myself some money. Don’t cut vacuum cords. Treat your vacuum kindly. 😕 I totally agree with you. People must quit chopping off vacuum cords despite if it’s clogged, bad motor, dead motor etc. fix your vacuum and don’t cut the cord!
8:45 Yeah that vacuum does look pretty ugly especially cause the dirt container is on the back. Also the hose part that goes down the middle is also like that on the Dirt Devil Dash.
Around the 12:29 mark, I could swear I saw a tiny bit of smoke come out from the bottom of the dirt devil platinum force on the side. It was brief though.
I get it if someone scratches a quote on the vacuum but at the same time I don’t get why they would scrap a quote on the back to you but it can’t make sense of the scrub a quote on the bathroom because if it’s really broken, you should just cut the cord or cause you wanna know when you get hurt but I love your videos and good night
@@IntellitechStudios I had a hoover elite whole house it went up in flames I cut the cord and I put on it do not plug in will catch fire but I do like vacuums
I don’t think I scraped powerforce compact because i saved the cords, filter, motor. I understand your frustration about chopped cords because I like when you test them. I never chopped the cord on my powerforce compact. The base was damaged but unfortunately I did throw the shell away a while ago. I’m sorry if it bothers you because I like your vacuum videos. I still have the cord to it its in very good shape.
Shame not many of these were able to be plugged in, part of the enjoyment of your Vacuums Saved videos are when you plug them in to see what happens, but if they dont have cords, then I guess its tough luck, we aint seeing em run. Although you didnt show the underside of the Hoover Air Cordless, I think it is missing its brushroll - from what I could make out looking through the clear cover on the top of the floorhead, it was missing - its supposed to be a narrow diameter brushroll with a toothed drivebelt. If the brushroll is missing, then the soleplate probably is, and so is the drivebelt - but without being shown the underside of the machines, it was not possible to tell.
Sorry, I have really bad memory issues, so I often forgot things, even if I've been told a hundred times. The good news is that Hoover will be kept and I will do my best to get a battery and test it out on camera, as well as check the brushroll, so this is not the last you'll see of that Hoover/Vax :).
@@IntellitechStudios I'd find out if the brushroll and base plate are on it before spending out on new batteries - if you dont have a battery charger for the Air cordless, you will need one of these too, as the battery has to fit on a separate charger for these vacuums - I have one, but mine came with 2 batteries as well as the rapid charger. All I am saying is if its got no battery, no charger, no brushroll, belt or soleplate, then it may not be worth spending out on it. Also check the rear section of the chassis, where the back wheel axles plug into the chassis - these are notoriiously weak, and easily fracture, causing the axles to come out, and the wheels fall off. They are nice when they are new and they are working, but if yours needs a lot of parts, then it may not be worth the high spend out that it may need, and you dont even know if the main motor or the brushroll motor works either - too many unknowns !

The dirt devils problem was the same problem that I had with my school vacuum it was blue and I don’t know what brand it is but only I know what his problem is it got old and it motor burned and it smelt like burning dog
Yeah intellitech studios I hate people when they cut the cords on vacuums what the heck also I know about the Hoover air cordless because it came in 2014 I think
You got a Platinum Force?! 😄 SERIOUSLY?! Those have become rare to find. Edit: you better not sell that Platinum Force, you're going to lose more than the thing itself, rather the hard work that took you to find it. 😐
Since there's no attachments on that powerforce helix you could take one of the attachments from your new powerforce helix and put it on the powerforce helix the on that cord is cut
@@michaelbrazier193 Scrapper here....Most of those vacuums are junk even new in the box. I cut a lot of cords on those over rated made in china vacuum shaped objects. That being said I will however refurbish a kirby if I happen to come across one or a windsor. Those are the ones worth fixing up.
There's my opinion about scrappers. They're definitely annoying to deal with and I would like them to stop but they couldn't care less about as something as a vacuum cleaner. If someone puts an appliance on the road its considered junk to them even its in actual good condition or easily fixable scrappers could care less about it. And they probably couldn't care about us collectors. It's something we have to deal with unfortunately and will still go in for years and years
I also saw a video of a rewind and then one of their dogs chopped the core by biting it so that's also might be why these have cupboards or it's not just because the pets may might be because also the person who wanted to do it for no reason
