FINALLY! VADER IMMORTAL PART 3. The conclusion to the VR game by ILMxLab and Oculus. This was an awesome journey and really immersed me in the lore of Vader's arc and Star Wars in general. There's a lot to learn from all 3 episodes so I hope you've enjoyed the journey thus far with me as we got to see Vader trying to bring Padme back with the Bright Star of Mustafar.
I still wonder...who is this Black Bishop?! Is he Snoke? Is he connected to him? Or just someone we'll never hear of again? How come he can stop time? Seems immensely powerful.

Advent Memory it shows that he still wants Padme back, and that he was willing to break the line between life and death to do so. Vader’s still in love with her after everything he’s done. But why does he want her back? Is it out of love or is it a means to get rid of his sins? He killed Padme and, as he previously thought before Episode VI, his unborn child.

To clear his sins, I would think Vader knows he can't wipe the slate clean because what he has done will always be weighing heavy on his conscience. I do think it is out of love because there is still a shred of humanity in him and that's Anakin.

I honestly think if him losing it was him at a 10 he should've atleast been at an 8 from the moment he saw you witnessing him communicating with Padme. The man killed anyone on the spot(with very few and special exceptions) who would just see him without his helmet. This was a very vulnerable and personal moment for Vader, and here you are. Not only are you intruding but you are there to stop him, to keep Padme dead. I seriously feel like the end of the fight was pretty much what the tone should've been for the entire interaction as a whole, from start to end. Instead he just seemed amused, and toyed with you for most of it.

Striker Frost It’s moments like these in the new canon that makes me feel sorry for him. He now kinda reminds of Davy Jones from POTC actually. Which leads me to think that everything related to Vader/Anakin that happened from Episode 1 up to Episode VI should be called the “Tragedy of Darth Vader.”

Z0pplinD0pplin yeah the fact you could actually damage him doesn’t help much either. With Cal it was a losing battle, but with Immortal Vader’s too much like the Legends Vader, basically like 3D Grievous, *intimidating but weak when the plot demands it.*

@@Fi_Sci_ i dont think so. Its not like Vader was defeated here. He would have ended the duel pretty quickly if he wasnt toying with the protagonist. The only reason for the escape was the bishops power to stop time. thats nothing vader could predict or prevent in any way ( similar to Trawn vs. the Bendu or space whales imo)

"she was almost within reach! Now she lost to me again BECAUSE OF YOUUUU! AAARRRHHHH!" that dialogue is just fucking perfect and the voice actor did amazing to get Vader across as saddened by his lost and angry by his own failure. I loved playing this and it's such an amazing journey. I'm glad it's canon, it's honestly a really well written story with great characters. Not to mention the mechanics work without fault 98% of the time. (There will be the occasional time when the force doesn't connect with "forceable" objects but other than that it's flawless)

@@gradyburkhart3646 I'm not saying it wasn't good, just that I feel more could have been done. It was short, and you can tell that it is geared toward a younger audience. I'm not against games for kids, I just think that something a little more mature would be nice on VR, rather than these "experiences" that ILM gives us. We don't even have a proper VR trench run, which should have been one of the most obvious experiences for them to make.

They probably thought gamers would get frustrated if they couldn't do anything against Vader but I feel like most fans make an exception to Vader (especially when he's angry at you for cutting off a chance to see Padme again). Like even though you can't do anything against him, fans loved invincible Vader in Jedi fallen order.

Huh, I’m pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting much from this game in terms of quality lore and story, but the background for mustafar, Vader’s attempts to resurrect Padme, the bright star, heck even the semi-cliche Horde. It’s all very interesting. Hats off to the devs

Well, in my opinion the dialogue is ok (there's Anakin in Vader). They show us the other side of the person with a dramatic/shakespearian tone (like everything in star wars). And that is his most iconic feature with respect another villians: he's a character very sentimental who hide his emotions (pain, fear, love..) behing a mask of inhumanity. And due to the own repression his encounters with "ghosts of the past" are so explosive and exciting.

Well that portal acc took yrs to build apperently and I'm not sure sure where exactly this takes place in the timeline Edit: Ite I just looked online for when this takes place and turns out the portal and his castle were constructed in 12BBY which is 8 yrs after rots. By rogue one mustafar is still a volcanic world so it must take place sometime after ANH. But THEN the new vader comic takes place like just after tesb but in the most recent issue #6 we see vader back on mustafar and the world doesn't look as it does after the events of this, it's still volcanic and the same as before, so I'm pretty sure that it must take place between tesb and rotj.

Here’s why you survive the Vader fight: Vader was holding back so he didn’t accidentally destroy the Brightsar, and because he didn’t really care about killing you at that point. He wanted to hold you back and keep you under control. When Padme dissapears, he wants to savor your final moments so he still doesn’t kill you then and when he’s done messing around he begins the final blow. The only reason you don’t die is because of that Corvac dude. He goes for the swing, thing blows up, he thinks you’re dead, he leaves, bada bing bada boom you survive.

Umm no Vader wasn't concerned with the player because he was distracted with the voice of Padme, Vader felt like he had won, that there was nothing anyone could do because the Bride Star was already activated, and that's why he tosses you aside then as the Bride Star begins to link with the player, he goes to End You because he had no more use for the player so he strikes you down, however the bishop freezes time allowing you to destroy the Bride Star, then your let free, Vader hears Padmes voice fade and he strikes you down, however in your last moments The Bishop saves you, however no one knows what happened to Vader at that point, Did Vader get sent back in time, or Did he get transported back to his Star Destroyer, at this point none of us know

the dark yeah I already knew what happened in game. As for Vader being distracted by padme and thinking he already won, that didn’t really happen? I never realized it, but after training in the dojo, I think I’ve found my new favorite Force combat technique: throwing the ignited lightsaber and pulling it back toward me

This is only the beginning.....can you imagine in 10 years? The VR technology is going to be UNREAL. I predict sensor vests & scent packs will later be included as well, so if you get hit your vest will vibrate like a controller, you'll smell the planet you're on. So hyped for future Star Wars games!!!

What they are doing with Vader character? First loses for Ezra, can't finish off him or Ashoka, and now lose for a nobody character too again 😖😣 What they are doing with the unstoppable determined hunter of Jedi? Its what he had been in the old canon, the reason why Obi Wan and Yoda hide so well from him. Now most of the time some minor side character can evade or win over him... i don't get WHY!? Most of these characters who faces him should be dead anyway, because they don't appear in the classic triology, they did it very well in Rogue One, with Erso squad being wiped out, why they can't do it in these other cases?

The tunnel part is crazy fun in this episode. You can catch the E-11 rifles mid air when the troopers die or fall off the speedsters. Its amazing how many fun thing you can do with the force in this game.

This whole game series is rife with possibilities for it's own figure line. The characters were all amazingly rendered, including your droid companion. Would really dig having figures of the two types of sentinel droids you encounter in the game. I could easily name an assortment of nine figures, ten if you include a figure of the player character. Unfortunately, the only swag to be had from this game series (which is the best Star Wars movie I have seen since, frankly, 1980) are eight different posters and two different kinds of pins. That's not enough! Come on Hasbro, make it happen!
