@@MALANtattoo yes the Forrest of art is real and perhaps it is the intertwined fate of all artists to venture into and get lost in from time to time. And personally your courteous and non-judgemental mentality( along with your experience) has been so motivating, and thought provoking through the days in my own Forrest, I just can't thank you enough. hey, as always its nice to hear you man... i feel you when it comes to real life and work sometimes its hard to get time to play with vids. its good you still put some out. I just changed to try to streamline my work flow when it comes to having time to do editing, switched to 360 just to make it so everyone can do their own thing while watching (see clients faces, what the place looks like, whats going on in the background, etc...) and it also keeps me from ripping out my hair when i got to edit. Needless to say its epic to hear you talk and be real like so many do not in these times. Can't wait til you next vid man... always look forward to your thoughts

Malan do you have a preference, with regard to a certain machine profile, like in liner machine to be shorter stroke and punchy or another profile? Like long stroke really slow cycle and heavy hit or midstroke really soft hit with cycle just barely slower than the liner but way faster than a colorpacker. Oh by the way what's the deal with the soon to be in effect prohibition of color pigments in Europe? Thank you in advance for your answer. I 3njoy the content you make available here. Your work here has enriched artists artistic prowess. Keep keepin' on!

Hi Sergio, very interesting questions! In general I don't run my machines on longer then 3mm stroke, make no sense to me. I'm usually somewhere between 1.5 to 3mm. My preference is for punchy machines. I really like the needle to go in in the first touch, as I control how deep it goes into the skin with my hand, not the tip. For the forbiden pigments it is really crazy stuff. On one side, it is great that goverment want to have a look at the health related issues, but on the other, they approach it totally backwords! IMHO Ink companies should go a bit more transparent as well. We will see, what time brings.

I'm starting out and I use coil machines. I have a Firefly on order. As I am not a professional any advice on machines? As in use for rotary? I was thinking as a liner.
