Vader has always made the best cover tunes ever. Made brutal songs even more brutal. Listen to Fight Fire With Fire. THe double bass in the bridge is like a friggin machine gun. THe timing is so perfect it makes my hair stand on end.
I am not normally a big Vader fan but I try to get out of my "box" occasionally and listen to different stuff. This is an example of how important a bands' song writing part is to their greatness. Watching this live concert footage, at this time, Vader is my favorite band! There are plenty of bands that are faster or technically superior to Slayer but very few who have the library of great songs they have.
They had learned Slayer's old shoolwork about extreme metal VERY WELL!!! To see they play Slayer is as see the son with pride of seek the same success of a extremely successful father, which wins because PLAYS EXTREME NOISE uncomparably WELL!!! SLAYER AND VADER FOREVER BECAUSE THESE TWO BANDS RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
vader's drummer is the fastest and tightest i've ever heard live, period, in over 25 years of going to metal shows. a very close second is monstrosity's drummer lee harrison.
awesome cover. I listen to covers not because trying to "judge" which version is better, the cover or the original as ye do, but for the reason that I love listening and watching others covering a great band, listen how cool it is from another band making awesome music for the ear.

the best band I ever saw live (tenbells in grand rapids, mi in 2005)!!!!!!! doc was not there.....but the spirit was..... Vader is, and will alway be my favorite metal act.

Great song Great cover vader plays it their own way but without destroying it. i mean it could have been a vader song. thats what i like, hail to vader and slayer! \m/ metalheads all over the world let your horns rise!
one of the best goddamn slayer covers iv ever heard and of a bad ass fuckin song vader rules and slayer kills all other thrash metal bands ever known to man. and vader has had the gracfulness of slyer to play raining blood
i dont know man they did it in a lower minor key but i think it made the song just that more badass...oh yea lol i love the emotionless stoic blasting away on the double bass
