Every late 70s and Early 80s kid thought Every Vintage Starwars playset was beyond cool. We had no problem with any of these playsets as kids. And believe me, no one complained. Make no mistake, Kenner ruled the world then.
I think a lot of the playset weren't as big because they had to be affordable. You couldn't have a toy cost as much as an actual house so playset had to be compact a bit.
This one is bottom shelf, but not the worst. The Hoth playsets with the cardboard backdrops that reused the plastic base from the Sandcrawler set were probably the worst.
@@DowntheRabbitHole0 The Sandcrawler wasn't as out of scale as the AT-AT, but yeah, those sucked. The other Hoth version didn't even have the elevator. It was just a backdrop for the same plastic base.
Doesn't seem too bad as a toy, a lot of cool features on it. I guess collectors don't like it cause it's too much crammed into a tiny little thing that is odd shaped and not very movie accurate? Is that the issue? I'm sure if you were a very young child though you wouldn't be too bothered about that and could use this to play out all sorts of scenes.
I liked it when I first got it Swifto. And it's ironic collectors today think this is odd looking and not accurate given the new Bespin carbonite chamber playset which is barely anything at all and has sold well. Crazy people.
