Completely agree with your assessment of VV - really love how they cover a lot of topics "off a beaten path". Unfortunately, both ancient tactical game I've had a while back and more recent Wattignies 1793 I've tried were duds, with rules somehow not "clicking" for me. Plus the graphics is really nice but I much prefer same graphics for the same unit types. Not giving up on them yet, though, have a few more titles to try😁

I remember when WSS first became available in the UK, they had English translations of the articles in Spanish.
