One of my all time favorite arcs in shounen manga. The philosophy of letting your burdens go and not have it weigh you down is so important in everyday life.
Esto iba acabar como el típico suicidio mútuo entre samuráis, pero el distraerse por pensar las consecuencias negativas que tendría su muerte en las personas que ama lo distrajo e irónicamente el pensar así hizo que se hiciera realidad.
Because we never expected Seijuro death, you'd think he would least be able to put up a good fight first with Musashi before getting tied or defeated, but no, it just comes so suddenly. Plus, the name of the chapter itself seems unbelievable to spoil such an event
The best fight I've seen so far, (I'm after the duel with the 70 men). Seijurō was quite an entertaining character, It's a pity that his lust cost him his life in the end. The way Miyamoto cut him in half was too savage
He was so focused on the opponent that he did not even acknowledge his own blade. In a sense his body was in pure harmony. In a flow state, so he did not need to consciously think about his sword position. Just seijuro as a whole.
I think its possible with a clean strike as long as the man doesn't wear any protection. You can see people slicing animal carcasses on internet. I don't think using both arms gives you that much more strength it mainly helps you change directions and being faster.
@@emilpetrov5001 two hands would definitely help, and im not just saying that cus kenpachi said so (iykyk). after all, power = force x speed. but im also curious about if such a cut would be possible in the way that musashi did it here (shoulder to abdomen). he smashed through basically an entire ribcage + a whole lot else with a single one handed stroke of his blade. it'd sound more conceivable if we were talking about guts and a dragon slayer sword but it can't be understated just how superhuman that feat is w/ a katana (btw yes, i do know vagabond is fictionalized lol)
@@soul9706 I think you could deliver a strike like that with one hand IF you are using an axe taking advantage of the momentum. Otherwise I don't think is possible with one hand. Remember the Samurai used criminals and dead people to test their katanas up to ww2. Some records indicates they can cut through 3 bodies.
He only thought for a moment about what he would lose if he couldn't beat Musashi. This distracted him.To be honest, while reading this duel, I wished the seijuro would survive and lead a happy life with that girl. If he cut off one of Musashi's arms just for this, I would even agree to it. His death was the scene that saddened me the most in the manga because he always had a peaceful aura.
