I was in the alpha but i cant be bothered to test a game i need to pay for i would have been happy to test like i was if i wasn’t locked out

Honestly a decent amount of people have had this same response. But, some good news is that after seeing these criticisms voiced so much, the devs are working on a separate test branch of the game. So new features and updates can be playtested before being pushed to the main branch of the game.

Great video G4IJIN! Love how you interviewed randoms, would be awesome to see more of that. The Devs are rushing things and making a bad first impression could utterly kill new player interest, It's rather upsetting to see the launch version not be refined enough. Casuals wont stick around for the game to be fixed like comp players had and the comp scene only plays when $$$ are handed out. The tourneys have cost more $ than all the participating players have earned the game developers so we're just a cash sink which certainly can't exist long term.

Thank you, I couldn’t agree more on the first impressions. I remember playing CSGO when it first launched, and it took 4 years for it to recover from a bad launch with Valve’s money behind it. I don’t think Vail can take that same risk.

Quest support seems from the looks of it, rushed. But still a title that you can play on… I think… lets just hope they continue to support it

It’s definitely playable, and the game has continued to improve since the migration to UE5, but the biggest issue is that every update breaks something. When the game was in a closed alpha, this was understandable. But now that this is a paid product, I could not recommend it to a wide audience in good faith.

Playing this on the quest 3 and the only huge issue that I have is the map voting like you said also a vote kick is kinda needed

Yeah the render resolution is turned down for performance but once you get in a game I don’t notice it. The performance has also become much better since I posted this video

i used to play the alpha back in the day on a Quest 1 but i fell off it because the quest 1 is getting old... now i just got a pico4 and i read out there that it isnt a free game no more, but turns out alpha testers get to keep it on steam? that's sweet. can't wait to get back to it and see if it gets better.

There’s been some updates recently that have improved performance, and in response to this review and the backlash of their comp community, they’re going to be using a separate branch to test updates before updating the main game.
