Just do a job for customer to change two rad valves. The CH water was filthy. But when to fill system up. Bled rad valves but boiler was banging. I also didn't know this purge feature. Is it an issue if I don't purge or is it necessary?
You dont have to purge if you have bled all the radiators but you dont want the boiler firing up with air in the heat exchanger so a good idea to put in purge mode really. Always make sure the automatic air vent is open though above the pump to help get any air out...
