Val D'Isere January 2024 Ski Holiday 

Yes, It can get a bit heavy down to Val D'Isere, so I would stay in Tignes Val Claret, the later the season is. But the main villages normally stay open till 1st May. I skied in Val and Tignes the last week of April a few times, and the snow is always better in Tignes late season. Don't book Tignes 1550, as that is normally the first of the villages to close.

Not the day we arrived. But I have in the past.

Also, you have to have chains in the car; in the past, I was stopped and made to put on chains to go up.

@@pauldale1974 cheers for the info due to drive from Barcelona on 17/3 I will get a set of universal chains ordered as I’m not exactly sure what car hire company will allocate us
