Please Anyone has to tell me - is this a traditional Czech dance? Or Slovak? Or Romanian? I need to know. I've watched so many versions of this dance and I love all of them so much, but I still haven't found out yet if it's traditionally Czech. I know it probably has it's origin in Romania, but I've seen this dance only from Czech videos so far. Please anyone enlighten me, I'm dying to know! xD Such a masterpiece of dance. Love from Germany!
The old name for Romania is Valachia. There were shepherds, they were moving from Valachia along the Kapathian mountains, they ended in the today Czech republic, they came with word brynza and customs. The dance is danced in a part of the country called Valasko from Valachia. It has a special pastry, national dress and it dances odzemek, the south dances verbunk. Slovak hajduk is a similar dance, Poles have also similar dance.😊
