The Women’s Discus Throw event got underway at 18:25 (local time), at the Suheim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, Qatar on May 28, 2021.

The temperature at the stadium was 39°C (102°F). The Humidity in Doha that evening was 22%, and the Atmospheric Pressure was 0.989 atm (1003 hPa). Doha is located at an Elevation of 10m (33ft) Above Sea Level.
The competition featured a Stellar Line-Up of 9 athletes; 5 of them were ranked in the top 8 in the World on that date. 7 athletes were Tokyo-Bound.

Allman a native of Newark, New Castle County, State of Delaware, has been competing successfully at the International Level since being a teenager; Allman was the 2014 World U20 Championships Silver Medalist, she would eventually step into the highest step of any athletic podium that reserved to the Olympic Champion in 2021. Allman would go on to eventually win the 2021 Diamond League Title at the 2021 Weltklasse Zürich Meet.
At the 2021 Doha Meeting Allman set a Mark of 58.66 meters on Round 1, she had a Red Flag (No Mark) on Round 2, set a Mark of 61.43 meters on Round 3, set a Mark of 65.57 meters on Round 4, and a Mark of 64.53 meters on Round 5.
The former Stanford University Cardinal Star Mark of 65.57 meters in Round 4 was good enough to qualify her as First Placed for the Final 3 Round (Round 6). Allman set a Mark of 58.58 meters in the Final 3 Round, good for 2nd Place in the Final Results Board behind Pérez (Cuba).
Side Note: World Athletics set new Competition Rules for the 2021 Diamond League, all athletes competing in events featuring Horizontal Throws (like the Discus Throw), and Horizontal Jumps would compete in Five Preliminary Rounds with the intention of setting the best mark that would qualify them to the Final 3 (6th) Round where only the athletes with the best three marks could qualify. Whoever wins the Final 3 Round wins the Competition. End of Side Note.

Yaimé Pérez (CUB): Qualified as 2nd Placed, 63.75m (Round 2).
