The Valco FX KGB is designed to be an adaptable fuzz, taking on a variety of instruments with pre-shaping abilities, selectable circuit variations and a clean blend for multi-layered fuzztones. When using The input impedance of any fuzz literally sets the tone for the rest of the signal path. With the KGB’s variable impedance selector, you can dial in anything between warm vintage tones all the way to modern 1Meg input for wider a frequency response and hard hitting attack and compression. A wide variety of Fuzz tones are accessed via the Voice selector, much like the Valco Bloodbuzz. Voice set to Off disables the tone circuit for extra output and a classic 2 knob Bender fuzz, Voice 1 engages a Muff-like 1Khz scoop and a tone circuit. Voice 2 pushes the mids the other way for extra grind like a 3-knob Bender and Voice 3 (Gated) starts open and uncompressed but gradually sputters out as the fuzz is increased for truly unexpected velcro fuzz.
This brings us to the helpful Fuzz/Dry blend slider, which can retain your guitar’s attack when extreme gated tones are selected or preserve the crucial low end in bass, synth or drum machines. To adapt with K (keys, synths), G (guitar) and B (bass), the KGB Fuzz provides a selectable line or instrument input level toggle, in addition to an independent Dry thru output that is pre-impedance selector. Its super refreshing to see more pedal brands implement clean blends for their fuzzes. After getting a Left Hand Wrath, I questioned why no one else would include a dry blend. Some of us like to play open maj7 chords. And now we can without losing clarity.

That was such a cool track! It's so simple and at first listen, nothing too crazy, but upon further evaluation, there' so much character and color. Well written, your phrasing, riffs and such are just so unique and interesting. Probably comes from the wide variety of genres you listen to and play! You are just so well-rounded. Love the harmonies at the end too. Hats off, keep up the good work, man. You'll always be the best pedal demoer in my eyes! Mike Hermans is a close second.

Yep I'm struggling to exist. 264 quid though wondering if they'll show up on reverb in a couple years. But I want it now. I got a Sputnik iii which is insane but it only takes the slightest nudge to turn from sweet spot to hideous. This doesn't seem to have any unusable sounds and a bit easier to find your favourites again. Think valco r on to one here. And it's built like a a tank ten points on looks alone.

Don't wanna become one of those players with ten different fuzzes that can't play for toffee but this would be my third I honestly wish they'd stop making such damn sexy pedals. This one will sell on looks alone. Just when you thing you've got everything covered they go an do this to me. Anyone else's pedal collection in double figures? Think I need professional help I just keep telling myself it's not like it's crack but reckon one day you'll see me on the streets pushing a shopping trolley full of pedals. Seriously it's where it's headed folks.

That was my immediate impression as well. It also had a rotary switch for selecting different interactions with a tone control.

it certainly looks like it, even the enclosure is the same. The different tone settings with the rotary knob do the same things as the big cheese.

The valco blood buzz certainly was but it's been long over due have you seen the price of love tone pedals now. I nearly bought there ring stinger for 200 15 years ago go for a grand plus now. Scarcity certainly ups value. I'm currently in a quandary if it's worth spending 500 on a moogerfooger low pass. Massive price hike once they were discontinued but they hold there value just wondering if a) it's worth it b) if I'll be able to part with it when hard times come again. Any opinions on that anyone own one.
