I think Alexa, on my part, is the most loved woman fighter in Mexico not only because of her talent but character and looks and Val has got to be the most respected and loved woman fighter because of her character and all the abilities that she possess and without a doubt the most amazing woman fighter in MMA. I hope Alexa can be champion some day but the odds are against her on this one.

The fact that she says Erin is not ready for a title fight but in a respectful manner just goes to show her standing. She knows when people are ready to compete with her and does not need to trash talk. She only wants to fight people when they are ready. That's class.

Val said Rin Nikai only needs to get into top 10 to face Valentina in the octagon, yet Erin Blanchfield is #3 and Val still wants her to have one more fight or more because Erin is too " green". Why? Andrade only had one win at flyweight before facing Val, and Maia only had one victory also before facing Val, Erin has five consecutive wins at UFC flyweight, so who really looks green? Not Erin. If Val defeats Grasso, who does she expect to face next if not Erin? Manon is not and will not be ready anytime soon and Manon wanted one more fight before facing Val. Is Manon scared or green or what? All the other contenders below Erin, have already faced Valentina, we do not want to the same old competition, so why not Erin? Val has said she wants to keep busy, who does she expect to fight? I would think an easy fight with a "green" fighter would give her another ruby. Val just doesn't like being challenged and having her skills critiqued just doesn't sit right with her. Val doesn't like all the positive media attention Erin is receiving. The fact that Erin shows no fear and is confident also bothers Val. All those reporters asked soft questions, I wish someone would have asked some hard questions. But Erin Blanchfield who is on an eight fight win streak and just beat Andrade is somehow "not ready" for a title shot. Makes no sense. Shevchenko is really making herself look bad right now.

IMO Valentina should be the women's pfp. She's been extremely consistent, professional and fights frequently. Amanda is hot and cold, seems like she's not interested in the sport as much, has had some weight misses through her career and a questionable gas tank.
