Valentines Day Treats - Chocolate Mini Cake Hearts with Cheeky Song Title Messages
With some fun and cheeky song title messages in gold. Like Justin Timerlake - Sexy Back, Sia - Cheap Thrills, Carley Rae Jepson - Call Me Maybe, Micheal Jackson - Beat it, Madonna - Like a Virgin and Lady Gaga - Poker face.
Fill the mold with melted candy melts or coloured white chocolate. Spread the chocolate up the sides to ensure a good coating. Flip the mold over onto parchment paper and let the excess fall out. Flip back over and scrape off any excess. Chill for 10 mins.
Make white chocolate ganache using 3 parts white chocolate and 1 part whipping cream. Microwave for 30 sec increments, very little stirring, until fully melted. Then whisk to ensure all chocolate is melted. let it cool and firm up. Whip with mixer for aprox 1 min. Put the chocolate ganache into a piping bag. I used Bon Mamas Red current jam, heated slightly and put into a piping bag.
Slice cake into thin layers, then cut into hearts with cookie cutter. Place a layer of cake into the mold. Create a damn of chocolate ganache and fill with jam. Top with another layer of cake and refrigerate for another 10 mins. Cover the top with chocolate and tap the mould to bring any bubbles to the surface. Refrigerate 10 mins.
Once you've popped your hearts out of the molds you can decorate them by writing some cheeky song titles, like Drake's Hot Ling Bling. For an even flashier message, once your royal icing has dried, paint with edible gold. Then give it to your loved one, a crush or a friend.
