You, Steph, the digger and dumper - it doesn't get any better than that. Love the new garden going in. Can't wait to see what Spring and Summer brings to the woods and gardens of Lalande. None of it would have been possible without you. And of course, your much-loved digger. 🙂Happy Valentine's Day to all.
Yeah, I was thinking you were gonna spend the day working on the green van! 💚 But Happy Valentines Day to you and the Digger. I hope you enjoy many lovely times together. 💕 see ya...
I have to add another comment. I have a lot of subscriptions. I love them all. But I look forward to yours more than anyone. Yes more than Stephanie‘s. She’s second on my list. Your irreverent banter brightens my day. You’re the best.
Have you stumbled across ‘how to renovate a chateau without killing your partner’ yet? They have similar slightly chaotic vibes, it’s just a little tidier. Bonus points for the subtitles and occasional included french lessons. Which are of course all accurate and should be taken very seriously.
@@ruarifinn yes! And Benoit's son. I think they will have to have to have a poison taster when he graduates from culinary training. I'm not sure if trust anything to be safe.
@@dees3179 indeed, I have been a follower of them for a long time now. It seems to be at least two years and yes they are hilarious. At least Philip is and of course his wife plays the straight sensible one.But Dan is still tops on the my list.
Oh how nice! Stephanie driving the dumper on Valentine’s Day🥳 Can you imagine doing this without the machines. Those are some serious rocks. Just imagining how the chateau was built and the craftsmen cutting the stone right on the spot. How long would it take to cut the stone?? How are McD’s different in France? Show us the burger🤤
Aw, it's lovely to see you and your digger so happy together. Thanks for sharing your feelings for her with us. haha. And the dynamic between you and Stephanie is so funny.
Really enjoyed this video Dan. Great seeing you helping out your good friend Stephanie at the Chateau. You’re doing an excellent job - you make it look easy! ❤
I think Stephanie likes playing on the equipment as much as you do! Funny, I used to love my yellow 🚜 tractor! We spent many hours together mowing fields and singing at the top of our lungs! HaHa! Mostly Motown hits in those days! The fields got to know all of the Supremes songs well! HaHaHaHa! Thank goodness there was no one around to hear us! I don’t know who was worse, the tractor 🚜 motor singing or me singing! HaHaHaHa! It’s a wonderful life! The Amish know something we don’t!
Machines will always love you back if you take good care of them. A little oil, elbow grease, and some tlc (even the quirky stubborn ones) they'll purr when brought back to life. Unlike humans, Machines will never sass you back unless you have a snarky Alexa (or Suri). Happy Valentines!
Good work Dan. Yesterday I saw a guy just as gracefully operating a digger on my way back from taking my cats to the doctor. Both times seeing this machine I remember a recent video of a digger used in an adult elephant rescue. The elephant turned around to thank the digger and the driver positioned the claw bucket for the obvious head boop coming from the saved elephant. It was such a beautiful moment.
What a man,you really can put your hand to anything. I am thinking it is the magic of a Mc Donald’s. Lovely to see your looking happier🤗 It’s just the mum in me lol
Man, you're almost making me wish we lived a little further south so we could be prepping our growing beds already.....but we had about 2 inches of fresh snow last night with another (hopefully larger, we need the water!) snowstorm predicted this weekend and below 0°F temps over the next couple of weeks. But we'll get there in about a month, and it will certainly be glorious!!!
Happy Valentine's Day Dan & Stephanie! Compost makes the Spring flowers grow! Well done now Dan don't forget to bring something nice home to the Mrs. 💗
Good morning team … Dan love the fact…you have your digger ❤❤❤❤ and enjoyed today playing with it I’m just so jealous I don’t have one 😂🤣 See you tomorrow 😊
As soon as I saw the title I knew it was referring to the digger. 😂 You are going to have to purchase one for your chateau “and they lived happily ever after”.
I love the way you always end your videos with the last few bars of the song you use for the soundtrack. Your Music choices are always brilliant and uplifting. Thanks so much.
Lots of defensive walls and towers were pulled down at Lalande by law during its history, but Stephanie also said something about naturally occurring borders and a stash of them in the woods. So, your guess is as good any. 👍
I knew it was the digger, all along! You were meant for each other! Nice to see Ms. Jarvis in a cameo dump truck appearance. There aren't many Chatelaines who can handle heavy equipment whilst wearing Manolo Blahniks💗. Well done, all. I still want to know what those big flat (on top) stones are/were doing there. I wish you would have taken a drone shot from good 75'-150' overhead to see if there were soil stains before putting compost on. That might have delineated any archaeological features you were on. Is it too late to try that? 💗
Happy Valentines 💘 Day Dan!! Love your videos. You are doing great work on the farmhouse and I can’t wait to see how the chateau turns out!! It should make for some great videos. BTW your boys are adorable (twins right?)
AAhhh a man and his boy toys, no one can ever compare that kind of love! 🤣 I am surmising that once you get used to perfecting the use of the machinery it's all fun and games! 🤣🤣
Hello, Dan!! Stephanie has many talents, but it was really shocking when I saw her working the dumper!! Though when I thought about it, it makes perfect sense economically, working in tandem with you in the digger. She is the one who turned me on to Aldenmark Niklasson's "Baby You Are Really Hurting Me." I can't stop listening to it!! So, thank you for playing it on your channel. Then, when I finally analysed why I like this song so much, the drums are a carbon copy of Benny "Papa Zita" Benjamin, one of the originators of the Motown "sound." Add to that the sax, the background vocals. a snappy bridge and it brought me back to the 60s. And while I'm at it, I'd like to address your wonderful use of r'n'b on the channel. Been a big fan since my older cousin introduced me to it when I was nine years old. Of course, it drove my parents crazy, but I never looked back. And what are my Valentine's Day loves? ❤🎸🎹My guitars and keyboard of course!!
Haven't even started yet, had to pause because I KNOW from the caption you are talking about "the DIGGER" hahahahhahaha :) Edit: I KNEW it... Ya had me second-guessing myself the whole time though. heeheehee
Dan those were some huge slabs of stone you were moving behind the chapel. I wonder if they’re from the two towers which were in front of the lake way back when?
