If rossi raced against guy martin I would bet £1,000 on guy martin to win. TT is a world away from running on a flat track with only a few curves on it.
both have legend at there field , we can,t compare...but of-course road race is danger than circuit race , at last in both game speed adrenaline the rider and audience ...
comparing guy to rossi is stupid guys a road racer rossi's a track racers both are fantastic guys and legends so just leave at that and continue to love what they do for the sport
@TheARMAProductions F1 and Rallying is a great comparison. I’d expect most of the F1 guys would be miles away from the Rally lads, but roles reversed you’d expect the rally guys to be able to get fairly close to a F1 lap time wouldn’t you? Whether or not they could be as quick is another question. I go to Wales to watch the WRC most years and I love it, but I am glued to the TV when the F1 is on.
@TheARMAProductions It's not that it's harder to master the TT, its harder to find the 3 or 4 tenths around a GP circuit. This case is proven with every SBK rider that enters Moto GP as a champion and promptly rides round at the back or midfield. Spies being the only exception so far..
@TheARMAProductions Like what? Parachutes for every rider? A golden grave for when they die? Rossi was there because he is the most famous motorcycle racer alive at one of the most famous motorcycle events in the world bringing great publicity.
@diggerdag Rossi hasn't the balls to race at IoM. said so himself in the interview..brilliant rider though he is. IoM TT is a truly one off racing venue these days, and I saute all those greats - past and present - who have taken the ultimate bike racing challenge.
I didn't catch one word of what Guy Martin said. It doesn't help that he had his hand on his face the entire interview. I could understand Valentino much more clearly and English isn't even his first language!
@TheARMAProductions And I completely agree mate, but it’s been proven time and time again that the fast road races, as fast and as courageous as they are can’t compete at the highest level on the short circuits. McGuinness, Seeley to name a couple. Don’t get me wrong I have far more respect for the road guys, they don’t have the luxury of setting up a bike for 15 corners, nor do they have the chance to tweak the bike over 60 practice laps.
my vote is with guy martin because he is the type of bloke you could say hey mate too... and also he is a bloke who has HUGE balls... Larger balls than Rossi.
i feel sorry for u kid... u think Rossi does the real thing? TT is not MotoGP! TT is the next level.... i bet Guy can beat Rossi at TT ANY TIME, ANY DAY! Rossi may have been the fastest on safe motoGP tracks but not at TT... two completely different worlds kiddo :D
@CBR11X Just your comment about Laguna Seca was harsh.I dont care if you insult Rossi either :) Road racing is all about balls( or insanity) i agree , just not about ultimate speed. Road racing is lethal if you come off ( as Laguna would have been before the updates) 2 road racers have died in ireland in succesive races this year alone. So calling him a pussy because he doesn't want to die if he crashes is a bit low.
Guy is a shy guy.....he doesnt want to be in the spot light u can tell by his body language....rossi is build to be in it...guy kinda gets shamed into being in the lime light right at the end. its funny that they dont understanf guys accent...and they find vals limited english easier...i dont but most people do it seems.
