Standing Russian twists with a plate also work well, arguably better, but target the obliques more (while still targeting abs.) Squat bicycle crunches are also one of my favorites to do in place while standing around watching something casual thrown onto a TV screen, once again you get to target abs and obliques so great core workout, but also you get quad work and target the calves (among other benefits), perfect for anyone looking to work on both core and lower body during some down time.
