Such a shame it was so short. By the way, I loled when Riela just pulled out that giant Valkyrian shield out of nowhere. Sorry, no subs.
I guess Kurt used up all the SP for the rest of the map :/

She didn't pull the shield out of nowhere. The weapon was inside the shield. She pulled it out. She was carrying the shield (with the weapon inside it) the whole time. :3

@@suiken3149Angelica is Pure Blooded Right?,i Don't remember correctly,But Rule of thumb is that Pure Valkyria(The ones that are born with the power),are Superior to the Project ones,for Example in VC1 Alicia completely demolishs Servaria on Combat and she was on a Pure Instict stage,So Alicia and Riela are the Stronger ones. If Angelica Trains in Combat she can Reach their level.

She had just started using her powers at that point in the game. That should explain why she got exhausted so fast.

The reason is explained in the game. Riela had multiple partial awakenings of her power throughout her life, hence the half sliver hair, which eventually caused her body to reject it. This means she can use the powers of a valkyria but only for a very limited amount of time before her body goes WHAT TBE FUCK IS GOING and she collapses or passes out. In game terms it mainly serves as a way to have a valkyria under player control for large chunks of the game without making them all massive cake walks.

That's not how valkyrur work tho! It's made pretty clear in VC1 (and in VC4 mind you, so this isn't a case of retconning unless it's some sort of Inception-style double-retcon going on) that you need to mortally wound a valkyrur in order to bring out her power. Riela had only taken a few scratches, what is this xP

A Valkyria needs to be mortally wounded once, then she's clear to use her power as much as she can. Alicia in VC1 used her power twice, once after being mortally wounded at Naggiar plains. The second time while she was trying to take down the Marmotta and she wasn't wounded. Also, Selvaria stabbed herself once before the battle of Barious desert and then she was clear to use her power as much as she wanted.

Do we actually see her at the point she activates her valkyrian powers against Marmota, though? It's possible that you're right of course, I had just always assumed that's how it worked

@@Paveway-chan No, we don't see her activacting her power against the Marmotta... But we see Selvaria activating her power without being wounded before blowing herself up (does that even count though?). Anyways, in the next games at least, this is how it works. They awake to their power by being mortally wounded near a Valkyrian weapon once, then they can use their power everytime they want.

Riela was a part of three squads before the Nameless that got completely wiped out with her being the sole survivor, I'd assume she got mortally wounded during those times, but survived thanks to her Valkyrian blood healing her. However, because of this, she was so emotionally unstable, she couldn't properly control her powers the first time she got the Lance and Shields.

Oguzhan Gungor Isara was the only one to see her go into Valkyria mode, and she was asked to keep it a secret. Being a gal with integrity, she kept that secret. Perhaps if she knew about Alicia before she died, she would have said something about it, but alas ... she didn't make it that far.

Have you played VC3?! If yes, then you should understand: This happens between the Fouzen Mission and the Marberry Shore Mission. (where Isara died). The Nameless Squad has gone rogue but decided to help the Main Gallian Army.
