Alicia is one of the weakest valkyrias, Squad E took Down Crimarya without BS power. Sure Squad 7 took down selvaria but she was holding back and not even use her valkyria powers.
@@raulrojas9253 Actually Alicia is probably the strongest Valkyria in the second Europan War (for now). Selvaria actually wasn't holding back when she fought in her valkyrian form. Didn't you see her face when Alicia easily dodged her attacks? Alicia only needed one hit to knock her out. My other reasoning for her being the strongest is because **spoiler alert about DLC** Crymaria had a match with Selvaria in one of the DLC of VC4. Both got exhausted after fighting each other for a long time (which means that neither of them got the upper hand). If we go by the logic of Alicia defeating Selvaria, she would also be able to take out Crymaria.

@@luisloo9502 However it is also stated that Crymaria cannot fully control her powers to the same level as Selvaria, so it could be said that if Crymaria had full control she would have wiped the floor with Selvaria, there is a reason why she is known as the strongest and the weakest of the Valkyria that we know of.
I noticed the voices were off as soon as Welkin started talking. Disappointing for sure. Isara’s new VA was the best match. I can tolerate it, but I’ll be pissed if they don’t get April Stewart back for the Dueling Valkyria dlc... Selvaria’s voice was pure epicness.

I'll be honest, having Isara back for the DLC, I don't mind, it's probably for the people who have Isara as their favorite character so they can always have her in the squad. I'm happy. And the fact that after the final episode in the chapter, Isara is unlocked for your squad, PERMANENTLY.
Again, one of the problems of English dubbing. They never have the same VA's for characters if the material is released many years after the original. If you want an example of Japanese dedication look no further than the Fate Series. The original anime aired in 2006, 12 years later the main characters still have the same voice actors.

Im really happy they added this dlc. It’s great to work with squad 7 again (despite the new voice actors, but I find them tolerable). To bad The edelweiss can’t be upgraded though. I would say it’s understandable because it would be op to have 2 fully upgraded tanks, but then that became void when why released playable Valkyrias.
From what I'm hearing we know that Tara Sands took over Rosie from Hedy Burress but I think Colleen O'Shaughnessy is still Alicia, Welkin might be voiced by Bryce Papenbrook, Alexis Tipton might be Isara (wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, she's normally Cup of Tea's go to girl for replacing Laura Bailey) and Largo is Patrick Seitz.
I’m actually surprised Welkin was recasted, considering his VA still does still does minor Anime roles. The rest are union VA’s who’ve I understand not coming back to minor roles.
VC4 is a union production - VC4 actors like Patrick Seitz, Yuri Lowenthal and Greg Chun would not risk being fined by SAG-AFTRA for appearing in non-union work using their names (which are registered with the union). Welkin's original actor was not cast due to budgetary reasons or he wasn't available during the recording window.
The only voice that sounded WAY off to me was Welkin; the others sounded close enough to their original voices I'd say in order of authenticity to the OG voices: Alicia>Isara>Rosie>>Largo>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Welkin
In the original, Isara is voiced by Laura Bailey. Here she is voiced by Alexis Tipton, which is funny, because Alexis Tipton is known or being a sort of "fake Laura Bailey" whenever Laura isn't available, like with Lucina.
New-VA Welkin aside, I wish that this DLC would include the Ruhm with Rosie (or Lynn). I miss that gun so much. It was fun just mowing down everything in sight with it.
Squad 7 is actually NOT the real Squad 7 in the DLC, instead, its just a squad that resembles them. That and they are all actually Synths, not humans. Why do you think they sound so different?
After hearing that the voices were different, I became even more satisfied with playing the original game almost exclusively in Japanese. No chance for disappointment with the english dub of this one that way. XP
Well according to the story in game, Nameless is not existed since they are all criminals. Although they take orders and everything, if you know about Nameless i think they all take suicide mission behind the enemy line while Squad E is on the battlefront so the chance they meet is kinda low. Also, for the whole Nameless story, they are not dispatched to the North while the majority of VC 4 is about North operation. However, i kinda like your idea. Still dont get enough of them after VC 3
well if this game take place on Atlantic Federation at least they meet Kurt,riela,and imca who live in small village on Atlantic Teritory but i would kinda see them in future i think Nameless is the best squad in VC series
Their story by far is, if not, the best. Its not impossible for them to meet depend on the timeline the developers want to create. In this DLC, squad E and Squad 7 meet very early since, you know, a certain person hasnt died yet. If they make one for Nameless, I welcome it since I also want to see them again. Its a good game after all. Still love the mechanic in VC 3, everyone has their own special skills

Miles being impressed with the Edelweiss is understandable: After all, it's made by Themier himself for Belgen Gunther (Welkin's father) and for his daughter to improve nonetheless. Miles... I'm avoiding spoilers for the main VC4 campaign but I already like this guy just for liking Isara!
The game only brought back the Japanese VAs. I played VC1 in the dub. I prefer it. Just sucks to feel to get shafted by the devs who don't bother finding the old VAs.
Yeah, i played vc and vc4 with japanese dub, and im reall glad i did. Because i would be so sad if i know the VA i know isnt coming back to the DLC i was looking for
While this is quite a late reply to this video, since I recently finished Valkryia Chronicles 1 on steam and am currently playing through 4, I thought I'd give my 2 cents. Seeing the og bois from Squad 7 is always nice, since theyre pretty much the flagship characters for the series at this point. While I dont know why most of the original VA's couldnt return, either through them being part of a union as I saw in another comment or simply the logistics of having a VA in the studio didnt work out, people also have to remember that VC1 came out in 2008. Thats 14 years apart. And while they also appeared in VC 2's dub, that came out in 2010, which 12 years ago. The only VA I can recognise for sure is Alica, but if you listen her battle quotes she even sounds NOTICEABLY different. I think maybe Isara has the same VA, though im not too sure. And while yes, it does sound rather jarring, particularly if you played both games pretty much back to back like me, I think the new VA's did a great job with them, the lines dont sound like theyve just phoned it in and showed up for a paycheck, so I appreciate that. All in all, despite the shakiness of having to adjust to the new VA's, im happy to have the gigachads of Squad 7 show up. Maybe in the next thing they appear it, itll be a once in a lifetime reunion of the original VA's, but if not, im glad the new ones are doing a great job.
Are there gonna be like Squad 422(aka Nameless) DLC...? No...? What a shame. And this whole "ey, lets sell fanservice as dlc" is a bit insulting. as far as i can see they start to sell it right away, as if first it was part of the game but then they decided to cut it off for extra cash.
I actually don't mind fanservice DLC's being... well, DLC. That way the people who don't like it have the option to not buy it, and hence shouldn't have anything to complain about.
It may be cool, but is is very hard for Easy Platoon meet Platoon 422, because Platoon 422 active secretly mostly deep in Imperial terriority. Even they meet Platoon 7 just by chance and they didn't get full contact with Platoon 7.

@@coolfox-24 again from what I've seen in the DLC forms she won't be shown. But I'm hoping for another Valkryia Chronicles game where she will be in a war war all grown up. Hopefully facing off against another continent.

I'm sorry but Welkins voice actor isn't trying, and the writing doesn't even show welkin. That's sad, especially considering I remember these characters and enjoy them.
With the rest of Squad 7 I could take it. The new voices grew on me and I use them and pretty much all my missions. Welkin however I couldn't get past it.
Me I don't mind the new voices because I know how the gaming industry works as well as voice actors that come and go for example a actor doesn't get paid the amount of money his/she get so they quit and many other examples I can give for it. Thank for the video it look great
Would've been great to get the gang all back but with a 10-year gap in between, it's tough - if the actors aren't available during the time window recording, you have to find replacements. Could also be budgetary - Bryce Papenbrook and Patrick Seitz both voice other characters in VC4, so they save money by not hiring Dave Wittenberg and Fred Tatasciore for only one role.
What? I'm pretty sure it's her VA both in cutscenes and battle. But after 8 years, she probably just had issues trying to get her voice like how it used to be.
Everyone crying about the different voice actors, and I'm like "huh? I play in Japanese anyway, isn't that how it's supposed to be?" Although I gotta admit the english voice acting in Valkyria Chronicles is really good.
I think it's nice to have different opinions about that voice acting. Either English or Japanese in the end I think both versions are great. It just takes a second to get used to the new VA with Squad 7
Not to mention the fact that Raz is also a Darcsen makes the whole "on each other's throats" a lot more sense, and Raz is a lot more relatable to the characteristics of a general Darcsen compared to Isara. (See 6:24)
I can't find any english version of this DLC's on the PS Store, all God Damn Chinese version, but my main game is R3 english version, how will it work if I ever try to purchased this chinese version? by the way I'm using Hong Kong account. If you're thinking that I'm seeing only Chinese version is because my account is HK, well wrong, I tried to search other games and 95% of all games had english version.
Are you saying the other titles were in English? Are you saying the game play have English voice overs and texts? Because I have another account that's in Japanese and all their titles are in English but the gameplay has Japanese voice over and text.
@@JDGibson90 I'm not sure buddy, I did not take the game yet, but it said on the title Season Pass (Chinese Ver.) for Valkyria Chronicles 4, and upon checking the screenshots the text are Chinese, I want to get English if possible for Hong Kong account.
It's been quite some time since I've seen the anime... but not that I know of or recall. In the anime it was between Wellkin and his friend from Squad 6. And I will always hate the anime for putting some of my squad members in squad six and killing them! I'll never forgive the anime! No matter how good it was!!
Do you have early access to the Two Valkyrias DLC ? You need to finished the game before accessing the dlc. I read that on the Valkyria Chronicles 4 english website.
To be honest his new voice didn't really suit him, In The Original VC1 he sound gentle and calm which is alight with his personality. But well it is what it is
