Thank you so very much. I tried so many different guides and none of them made me finish this mission. I've ben stuck on this for a month or so now lol The problem was the most videos were extremely dependant on RNG of damage taken, and EVERY TIME my scout would die and mess up the whole mission. Your guide, however, did made me complete the mission on my first try. Thanks!!!
On the end of turn 01 you put Noce on the left side of the bridge, I find it's much more consistent to put him (or whatever scout you are using) a few steps behind Alicia. The medium tank can kill him in one shot unless you get lucky and get a miss, and the other medium tank can roll up and touch him during the enemy phase, killing him.
how do you get those morters on your scouts weapons?, I am playing through this and even with defence boost my scouts cant make it close enough to the bridge to throw a normal grenade without being mown down, even if I take out the elite trooper
You have to train your units to level 11. Scout Elites get access to mortars. You can try issuing the Caution and Defense Boost orders from Welkin to toughen up your units too.
That was BS!, i saw several times were your scouts should have been turned into swiss cheese by he tanks. i'll try to play it this way but I think you got lucky in some parts.
Luck definitely played a part but you can try using the Evade Boost order on your scouts. That would help too. I did get quite lucky here I'd say. Thanks for the comment.
watcher7180 that wasn’t even the part I had the most trouble with; that would be trying to run the last enemy gauntlet with Alicia to reach the last lift and realizing that I don’t have the order protecting against overwatch fire... Derp. It’s impossible to do without it, guess I’ll have to find another way for now
This game sucks so bad at explaining what needs to be done in way that makes sense. It really shoots itself in the foot by trying to add complexity to the scenarios. The things implemented fall into 2 categories, stuff that moves you across the battlefield (mainly to places you don't want to be) and stuff you have to destroy. You'd think there would be more missions where we set up defense and wait for enemy attacks.
I think the game was made like this to actually simulate war. When you're fighting a battle in real life against another army, you're not going to be told what to do unless you're a soldier. You have to think strategically and study the map carefully before placing down your units and attacking.
