Should point out that here Roy wears his white space suit from the Macross movie DYRL. But during the TV show he only wore a gray flight suit, to help distinguish him from the other characters. From a military logistics POV, it never really made any sense for the characters to wear differently colored uniforms. Distinctive helmets and patches would be more realistic and practical. But meh, it was a TV cartoon and they took traditional liberties to keep things visually clear for viewers.

I just checked out the prices on these, they're staggering for what you get in return. If WeiJiang can create a 14 inch MP-10 Optimus Prime for $90, why is this thing $130-$160?

He mentions it because really, this is a Macross toy not Robotech, and it's expected I say ichijo hikaru. But I'm 80's Robotech kid through & through ^_^
1/60? That looks almost exactly the same size as 1/100 kits (at least the 1/100 Gundam I have in front of me atm), no way is that 1/60. So thanks for this, it looks nice and I was thinking about buying it but using your hands for scale helped inform my decision - just not big enough for what I'm looking for :)
A Vf-1 valkyrie and a Gundam are not the same size "in the real world", a Gundam is bigger, so if you have an 1/100 valkyrie and 1/100 gundam, the gundam would be bigger, if you have 1/60 valkyrie and 1/100 gundam, the valkyrie would be bigger but not for that much.
Scales are affected by real inlore sizes as you may know by now penelope is bigger than the average 1/100 gundam while crossbone is smaller than most 1/144 scale figures and that’s why inlore their sizes are different
This was funny. Although I don't necessarily agree with your conclusion (not quite worth it for the price, considering the arcadia was 30 bucks more expensive for better tolerances and materials), I appreciate the review.
It was a good video, until you mention Rick Hunter. It may be something new to you, but in Arcadia there is no version of Rick Hunter, nor Robotech. You may want to investigate further the differences between Macross and Robotech, in order to make a review in context.

There is a reason the company have valkrie in their name and not veritech...that al8ne should tell you this is macross and not robotech...and like I said it is a k.o. of a MACROSS item...this has nothing to do with robotech plus what you refered to as the rick hunter version is actually labled as the pilot as hikaru Ichijyo so again a MACROSS reference.
Actually far from it, it CLEARLY says macross on the box and not robotech.....and robotech is NOT the same as macross.....super dimension calvary cross which became 'robotech masters' and genises mospedia climber which became 'robotech the new generation" have NOTHING to do with macross and NONE of the other macross movies /tv series such as macross zero, macross plus, macross frontier or macross delta were NEVER and NEVER will be part of the robotech universe.
