Slainte as a base has duck/beef tallow/wool fat and substitutes good old stout beer (name brand you can guess which) for the water. Somehow (as in life) the combination of a good stout + other stuff came out nice!
Thanks, Bill! I've taken two of my favorite things and put them together. The outdoors and wetshaving. In my Lavender Planet video I was on top of a 800' cliff overlooking the Pacific 👍👍 The Slainte base doesn't disappoint! And yes sir, a good Stout makes everything better 🙌
Just recently tried a sample of M&M Kodiak base and you’re exactly right! Really worked the lather. Initially I thought I added too much water but kept working it and it turned into a thick and slick lather and the post shave feel was probably the best I’ve experienced. My skin was so smooth and hydrated so much so it was like I never had hair on my face to begin with. Also it’s pronounced slan-cha ☘️😉
As always Mr. Tobin, excellent shave and review but I must say, the star of this video is that background!🤯🤩 NO ONE, in the wet shaving RU-vid community has better backdrops than you my friend. Keep Rockin' those shaves good sir!🤘💯👊

9:09 I'm really thrilled Bill agreed to do bear fat (Kodiak) when we started with Nantahala. I'm not sure how long it will last because it's considered exotic to export or sell in the EU. I definitely get them in the initial release or his. I'm testing his new Zokiak base. I'm taking my time.
