Take pictures of the interior of your house and all the expensive things and be certain everything expensive is categorized and its value is correctly marked for insurance purposes.
I agree. People need to learn that you need to clean forests regularly from shrubs and dead, dry trees, separate it in sections by cutting strips and digging trenches, and doing all the stuff that people knew how to do ages ago, but somehow got stupid and forgot it all overnight, and started to believe that teraforming nature is purely evil act, but protesting and demanding to leave mother nature alone is the only right thing that can be done.

What were those firefighters doing at 7:59? It looked like they were starting little fires on purpose, why do they do that? Is it to control burn dead brush?
My Brother was a Smoke Jumper in Montana, Arizona and Idaho when he was young. The pay was really good which was the only reason he did it. It was the same pay as working on the Fishing Boats in Alaska ( He did that too). I'm not an expert....but I think those Firemen are too close to some of those Fires.....their trucks too . I remember in the past where a truck was overtaken by Fire. And that group in Arizona who were too close and the Wind shifted. They were on one side of a ridge and couldn't see what was going on , on the other side. They couldn't outrun it. They tried to save themselves by wrapping up in those silver blankets (I forget what you call them) They had a slang term for them ....meaning being baked alive). They should have better protection for them .
Did anyone ever move the horse. The fire seemed already on both sides. Why is the guy just standing there video taping when he could be making sure the horse is taken to safety or at least set free and given a chance to get away from the fire.
Building Structures/Citys that can withstand these kind of natural wildfires needs to be the biggest discussion right now. Good wishes won't do for future wildfires.
In order to douse the fire inferno please cut some trees and clean the surrounding in advance by around 20 feet. So that the inferno won't spread any further... We do that and it really do help a lot..

It is a back fire. With the right winds and temp. the fire personal start a fire to get the roaring out of control fire to meet and connect with theirs and it will stop the spread. It is hard to explain but it works. The two fires connect in an already burnt area and then it can't burn twice.
The poor animals. We as humans choose to live in these natural disaster areas and then bring the animals in with us...we need to protect them during these times.

My family's home is the one up in flames in this video, and I can assure you we appeared quite protected from a fire. Governor useless spends money on a train to nowhere and no money left for forests management. @@firedog451 It's not that simple. CA is filled with NATIONAL forests and areas like Yosemite, Sequoia, Cleveland and so on. They're controlled by the FEDERAL govt...and yes - they've been cutting funds for years....and the national lands and monuments are overdue for controlled burns. That's not CA fault. Also, CA has been in chronic drought for over a decade - even one good rainy season doesn't undo the dead trees and vegetation that accumulates. And please tell me how to safely do a controlled burn when the water supply is so low that is has to, at times, be rationed? CA is running out of drinking water...and yet communities are still being built to bring in revenue and business. Which will need water..... We are a country of United states - people need to quick blaming the political party they don't like. This is a team effort people - there is no room for blame because nothing gets accomplished. In fact, most of these commenters need to push away from the computer and, shut their mouths, and figure out how they can help and be part of the solution.

@michael miranti That's a common tactic for fighting vegetation fires. The main way these fires are fought is by removing fuel from the path of the fire, not by putting them out with water. For structure protection, you clear as much flammable away from the house as possible, maybe pre-treat the house a little right when the fire arrives, then shelter and let the fire pass, and put the house out of it caught at all. If the fire is heavy on the house once the gas fire passes though, they can't stay to fight the fire. Vegetation fires are big, and ones like this, there aren't enough firefighters or water to handle it like a typical structure fire. A full structure fire fight can take dozens of firefighters for one building. That isn't an option here.

Why on earth do you think explaining how firefighters work demonstrates I "hate America?" That is absolute idiocy. . I am a volunteer fire captain with more than 20 years of firefighting experience. In California. I was just recently involved with fighting one of the massive fires in northern California - second largest in CA history. I have taught fire academies. I know what I'm talking about. It has nothing to do with unions or destroying America. What I explained is how wildland firefighting actually works. You can't attack wildfire head-on with water. You can use water to try and control flareups along a line, or to protect a house, but if there's no line in place, you let the fire burn past, put out fire on the structures quickly if you're able, and move on. You simply don't have the necessary resources to just go all-in with water. Again, water and personnel are very limited in comparison to large fires like this, and you have to use them strategically to maximize the ability to protect property and contain the fire. And containment is done by hand line and bulldozers, not water. Water, fire retardant drops, and all that don't put the fire out. They slow it down so you can keep it from crossing your lines.

This creates conditions that are likely to ignite a wildfire. Once a wildfire starts, embers can travel very far and start other fires. There is no reported affiliation between the gender reveal party fire and Antifa. The fact that you choose to believe that utter nonsense tells me just how far FOX News will go to disinform their viewers.
