After my Dad passed away suddenly last year, I had a real hard time sleeping. I can't really explain why, but the tones and ambience of this song really helped. I have really tried to articulate how it makes me feel, but its difficult to even understand it myself. I would just sit there and breathe and I felt so calm even though I had tears running down my cheeks. You should be incredibly proud. All of your work is amazing, but "Valley of the Saints" is really special. Thank you.

I’ve always thought in music like this and various other genres, but same idea - but truly once upon a time, 3:00 was a long song, people seemed to openly hate music that put them in a thinking or trance state. Thoughts are fluid- I promise you someone dreamed our world in time before us; but despite their clear vision or hearing , who would be able to comprehend what is presented - when there is so much prejudice the information. I love that now there’s a forum for things we dreamers dreamt - but couldn’t trust our imaginations to lead the way , but others that did - would unlock the doors for all of us, now, there’s genres for lovers of this music - where it once only existed in our humming minds This is why we give respect to creators, they are practical teachers!

As a creative yourself, I think that you care about creatives being treated fairly. If you don't know why AI art generators are so bad, I highly encourage you to look it up. Thank you :)

Yes, separate layers of the images were generated with an image generator, then edited and put together in Photoshop. I was introduced to the mechanisms of its functioning through various YT videos since I was interested in neural networks in general. I definitely don't want anyone being damaged in the process of someone generating art for his video, and, frankly, I'm not aware of the 'exploiting' issue you're mentioning. As far as I got it, neural network algorithms are not using the actual images but are learning from the techniques used by the artists - which is also how those artists learned to create their own outputs at some point at a time. Technique itself cannot be copyrighted and thus unlawfully explored.... Furthermore, I don't see how using 'AI' (I can't call it 'intelligence' since I consider that term as being partially misleading) image generator for a YT video can damage anyone. Can you elaborate further on it? Thanks.

@@prometheusstudioambient AI generators like Midjourney don't learn from the mer techniques, they ged trained with the actual artworks of millions of artists, which only gives them the possibilty to copy those works or mix them up. Because of that reason, you can sometimes even see the original signature of the artist. They have fed Kim Jung Gi's art directly into it right after the day he died, without his consent. No artist is getting asked for consent. Another artist asked the creators of Midjourney to delate his works from the generators databse, but instead they just cyber bullied him and created even more works with his style. Those generators would create nothing, if they wouldn't have been trained with the art that so many different humans have tried to master of the years of their life. And that is exploitation and stealing. For that exact reason musical AI generators were only trained with copyright free music, because the makers were to afraid to get sued. How can there be such a double edged sword when it comes to music and art?

@@dandelion8387 If I got it right, the algorithm is being fed with the images already available on google search and are publicly being displayed. After a couple of thousands of 'feeds' it then starts to output something that is in style of the image being fed - only in the instance where you 'command' it to do it (e.g. input the right prompt). That's also how a child's brain works - you cannot deny a human from being exposed to art and then expect it to be a master artist; you are actually expected to do exactly the thing - expose it to more and more artwork from which it can learn, extract, abstract, and be inspired. Another thing, from my own experience with the software, it took me several hundreds of trials to even get to something remotely resembling what I wanted. If you ever played with it, you should know that producing an image that is at least acceptable could take a couple of thousands iterations. It was a pretty frustrating process to get to draw a simple tower of a caste, the way you want it. And I actually didn't get the impression that it's just recombining and remixing different artwork, because the image produced 1) didn't look like a copy/paste scramble of different images. It was rather a technique or style being implemented atop of the idea (contained in a textual prompt, or a sample image), and 2) it was a completely new landscape of object/landscape not present in any of the artists' work which were supposedly being used to feed the aforementioned algorhitms (it was a seamless, new image and idea, again, not a pure scramble of different objects). Thus, it's an entirely new and original image, based on the references and doing its best to accomodate to your own human, flawing input.

In light of these facts, I haven't perceived image generation as pure 'theft' as some are trying to put it, and am still not convinced enough to call it just a pure trickery. That also doesn't mean that I'm not open to new info/data. Just another point regardless of the actuall mechanism of AI image generators: we also have problem of not having more open artistic approach to copyright and image usage; I'm beginning to be inclined to think that this situation that we're talking about was a natural product of overpricing and unavailability of artwork usage. What do we do with a person not being in a position do make an image for his/hers video themselves and the fact that most of the Deviantart/artstation artists are charging hundreds of $ for a usage? I think the coin has two faces and the more the artists are being closed and, to some point, greedy (in terms of charging a couple of hundreds of bucks for a mere usage) the more they are driving people to a grey zone of either using their images without their consent or figuring out how to create/produce a material on their own. I'm not trying to give an excuse to anything, but it seems image generators are here for a reason, and are proving to be seen as a useful thing by most of the people not having a 'visual artist' as a profession in their CV. A propo this - is it really that an AI generated thumbnail can actually drop the revenue to an accomplished human artist?

@@prometheusstudioambient So overpricing of some makes the theft of millions of artists works okay. I see. Seems like humanity has really lost its heart. A style is also unique to every artist, even if someone learns from another artist, their style will always be unique.There's a reason why there is now lawsuit against Midjourney and Co. Because art has been more likely been taken for granted. You know how many people ask me for free comissions? As if art just flies out of ones hands. Tiping in prompts for hours is still no hard work compared to years of practice.
