@@theminiatureconstructionco4556 have you played this version? Aka "great battles" series, aka Battle of Stalingrad, Battle of Moscow, Kuban, Bodenplatte, Normandy, etc., also known as BoX? Or is the last one you played one of the older software versions, like 1946, Cliffs of Dover, etc.?

Tbh I didn't think masters of the air was that bad... But I think the difference is less the simulation and more having "real" pilots flying the aircraft so they move like someone is actually behind the stick reacting in real time rather than storyboarded, pre-planned movements.

@@wimwamjoey Not sure how old you are, but if you are a boomer like me, I grew up watching nothing but real footage of aircraft in flight, okay with the exception of some of the cheesier models on strings in some films. Watch the old Series "12 O'clock High". Maybe some of it is that I am also used to the camera angles used when you have to be on a camera aircraft looking at other aircraft and the CGI viewpoints throw me off.

Yeah I know... I'm always shocked how far out they fired RP3s in real life. I do enjoy lobbing from further out at larger targets.

Yep, I'm running a quest 3 with a 3080. Note that the game does not look this good when I actually play it. I jack up the settings to get footage from recordings after the fact.

This is not intended to be a historical reenactment or documentary. We only use the SA marking because our group was founded by NZers and we wanted to give a small nod to a real NZ squadron.
