I have been wanting to walk this valley these past two years, but always missed the chance when in Gozo.
Finally I did it, and my expectations were not let down! Fantastic place, Wild and blooming with vegetation.
Definitely a place worth exploring better!
If you want to try it out, this is the best time of year to do it, as the valley is dry, lush green and full of blossoms.
I would suggest trousers and long selves, even gloves, as you are constantly walking in neck-high nettle bushes and thorns.
Also the first part of the trail is very well marked.
Malta is full of beautiful Nature walks. Hiking is what made me fall in love with our Islands and landscape photography. Please respect these places if you decide to do these walks! As they say: "Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time." ... pick only litter if you find some on the way 🙏
