VALORANT Kingdom Credits Explained (New Progression System) 

Regarding what I said at 2:00 , it turns out it's a fair bit lower. 2KC for a Round played and 4 KC for a Round won. This means if you were to win a game 13-7 like I mentioned in the video, you actually only gain 92 Kingdom Credits and not 230 :(

I am hella thanking my past self for focusing on getting all agents unlocked before maxing the contracts cause now all I have to work on is the agent items

I personally don’t like the feature of not getting contract items using kingdom credits. XP was completely fine with me and adding Kingdom credits feels like it would be harder being able to use the shop seeing the prices of how much it takes to unlock

it's a good update for system progression, but the reward is rather underwhelming cards, buddies, titles not gonna appeal so much, cards yeah there's some cool cards previous BP but titles and buddies not so much so it can be drawback to casual side since they didn't see anything too valuable to exchange it

i personaly think that the cosmetics from agent contracts should be unlocked with xp after you buy the agent because 45000 kingdom credits for every agent sounds redicuoles

Okay since you don't seem to get some people's issues, let me explain mine Whenever I get any Kingdom Credits I will have to decide between buying a new agent, buying agent gear or buying previous battle pass items With agents being 8k if I recall Agent items being 40k+ And random battle pass items being even more I have to spend On top of only earning 600 a day from all bonuses and even taking into account the one time only gift of 5k from the devs, it's an insane amount to spend to get anything and players will have to be stuck with making hard choices for either getting limited time rotating items from the store, a system that gives an incentive to saving your currency and waiting for something you want, which is being limited yet again by an arbitrary 10k cap so we can't even save in the first place, or buying missing agents and their corresponding items which have been overpriced to the point of leaving you with nothing left considering I need to hit the cap a little over FOUR times in a row to get agent items The previous agent system was perfect, the KC system should have been made exclusively to trade for battlepass items from the past and thats IT

Just a small tip for everyone who wants to buy the new agent (which usually costs $10/€10): if you have xbox game pass for pc, you have all agents unlocked AND you get an xp boost. xbox game pass already costs only 10 bucks, but you can buy keys for a lower price (i got one for €6,70). so there's not really a reason why you would buy it with valorant points. I'm not sure what happens after the game pass sub runs out, but i imagine at that point you have enough kingdom credits anyway.

Time to farm them Kingdom credits by going OT in Competitive with some friends by getting 2 5 stacks and going to 30 - 30

One thing that I really don't like is the fact that I was on part 4 of unlocking Omen, but now that this is out there is no reduced cost to unlock him, even though I was about to unlock him through exp

I was 9k xp away from unlocking gekko’s shorty. I now have to play for ~a week, every day, to unlock it again, after i get the new agent.

Definitely, a good update, but it's hella disappointing that there are no skins or knives in the accessory store. Those are literally the main purpose of buying the battlepass for most players lol

that accessories part is the good one actually i really wanted to have plater cards but also did not wanted to spend money on them, now i can get them by KC

For you guys who stop playing at the end of the last season, you can leave the last week of challenges unfinished and they carry over to the next season. Easy xp for the new agent.

After some time I like the abiltiy to get the old battlepass stuff but it feels so much slower gathering them for agents where monthlys would shoot up ur progress there is nothing like that now

Overall a reasonably good change. A few negative IMO; with new agents I would often grind the first lower xp levels and then buy the last 2-3 as they took more XP, that’s no longer an option. I think it would be cool if as a perk to buying the battle pass you got an XP boost to the agent contract too. Getting old BP content is good but I think it devalues the battle passes a fair bit. The only reason I buy the battle passes recently is if I want to get some more radienite. Just a general complaint is that the paid content is way too expensive IMO. I don’t see Riot ever changing this but honestly I would probably buy 3 times as much if they halved the price. As is I may buy a bundle once a year.

will the kingdom store thingy only have old battle pass stuff? I really want some of the older buddies/icons that were dropped alongside skinlines like Valorant go! but right now there's no way to get those.

Question: Will you be able to get free battle pass skins, such as the bound knife in this BP or at least a non side arm skin

I think a major problem is that the KC you can unlock through agent contracts can't be unlocked if you already completed them... so newer players get more

i was worried that they will include previous battlepass guns and knife skins although i dont have any skins but still i was concern that the value of that limited piece will be ruined. for example ruin dagger.

So are the gun buddies available in the accessories only from battlepasses? So the bunny gun buddy that turns blue wouldn't be in the accessories?

i feel like this should be able to work for skins also (actual money stuff) but would require a lot of grinding, such as if you max out your KC counter, then you can get like one skin, or get a couple valorant credits, and keep on doing that till you buy a skin

so theres a cap for maximum kingdom credits at once which is 10k right? but like is there a cap for how many you can gain in a certain period of time? or if i just keep on spending will I always be able to acquire more? and will there ever be an accessory worth more than 10k?

luckily i finished all my agents contracts before this update and i can save my kc for the accessories like the "make some noise" spray

Seems like its good for players that already have all agents unlocked, but bad for people that still have agents to unlock

would be nice if you could convert kingdom points to valorant points. even if the conversion rates were abysmal, it would still make dropping 20 to 30 bucks for 1 skin more bearable

For example, i didn't played yesterday and today i can't play as well, i lost 600 KC yesterday and 600 KC today or if i play tomorrow i can still get those 1200 KC?

finally the bundle store, i missed a lot of cool bundles and i was so regretful that i didnt play that time

I play on weekends so does that mean I will get like bonus xp or some thing?

Whenever we make a new valorant ID we get to unlock 2 agents for free without any grind so will it be the same after this update or not??

One of my least favorite parts of this is that I can't earn 3 or 4 tiers of an agent and spend 2 or 4 bucks to speed unlock them, but I suppose haven't done that since I caught up anyway. Oh well.

Does anyone happen to have the calculations of how many matches you’d need to get to 8k kc from 0 given the actual kc per round numbers?

I do like the idea of credits to buy previous BP items. Definitely an idea that i think other games should use

Will the agent recruitment event only unlock the agent, or will it include some of the agent's gear tiers (titles, sprays, cards), or will you have to unlock the agent and then use KC to get their gear?

So now a new player should either use kingdom credit for agent or accessories. No both ? How long will it take to unlock them all ? It's daunting now .

this is going to make the grind so much longer for people. if your guess is right its going to take a month and a half to unlock all agent items when before it would take 2 weeks of regular play

I was on tier 4 of breach agent contract the previous season does that men i have to spend a whole 8,000 kc to get him?

so if i get the 200k exp before the end date will the agent automaticlly unlock?

My only question is will the commemorative buddies and titles be up for purchase? I dont wanna be gatekeepy, but should the "year 1" line of accessories be available for those who didn't play at that time?

And after all that, you will get....... a card and a freaking Title ! Can you imagine???!!!. How unique and rewarding.

I had like 140k exp out of 150k to unlock the joint venture card and now all of that has gone to waste sadly. time to start over the grind

im on the last tier of the viper contract and i wont be able to get it in time before the episode ends, so will the brogress save, or will i need to get all 5 tiers unlocked before the shorty skin?

I feel like this could also weed out smurfing. Smurfs don't play on their accounts often, or play when the seasons about to end. Now if they do want to smurf, they need to play a ton of games and invest a lot more time into their alts in a short period of time to unlock an agent on their smurf account. Whereas previously, they may have played on and off in the span of 2 months to unlock an agent contract.

damn they really made it a grind to get stuff now, I think it's going to take longer because 2 per round and 4 per win is ridiculously low

One of the perks of having Xbox game pass is that all agents are automatically unlocked. Does anyone know if this still applies with the new system?

So I can finally get that one skye card I couldn’t obtain because I wasn’t playing the game that early? Hell yeah!

I think im in some bad situation… I dont play val that much, and only play few agents so I didnt unlock all agents. Plus I wanted the jet sheriff so I was grinding my way on it. I got tier 9 finished and was only a few xp away from the sheriff. But all my progress is lost. I dont remember precisely but I do remember saying to my friend that the 10th progress it self could have unlocked an agent. Could there be any way to get my progress back 😢(sorry for bad english and long comment)

I do like the general idea of the Kingdom Points but i really think, they should at least create some skins only for that curency. Cause nobody really cares about the buddys or sprays.

Huge problem, for the agents that you already unlocked by leveling up to get to level 5, they’re switching the level 5 reqard to 2000 kingdom credits instead of the agent, but u will keep the agent, and another problem is, i had 5 agents unlock, and if you add it up rhat would be 10k, and the max is 10k, but i only got 6k…… RIOT GANES REFUNDDDDD

The thing that I don’t like for example is I was at like 178k out of 200k in an Agent contract, so all that progress is just gone?

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it that if you connect your x box account to your valorant you get all the agents unlocked without needing to completing any tiers so does that system now stop ???
