Technically the time u spend in the air is the same in both cases as the height of the fall is the same. U shouldn't take any damage for any of the falls since the force of gravity on you stays the same during the two motions. This has nothing to do with pythagora :)

@@mmb.arnost : Stop taking unecessary risks and don't go for kills, even if you're maining dualist! Play contact, play for picks, jiggle peak, learn one ways with jett (if dualist) there is a lot more to push a site than aim and walking! While playing instead of chatting with enemy/team think about what enemy was doing, where were they, after couple rounds you will see that they are repeating themselves, especially if they got a kill with their play, and outsmart them! To be aware of these things in the moment is hard, i know, but not doing them will get you nowhere and creating a mindset and becoming aware of this things will make you a better player

After some time this is actually a bug with how crouch jumping works. After some testing I found a 100% way to recreate this bug. 1: When making the skill jump to top of screens, hold crouch to easily get there. Walk off screens in any way. You will take 15 damage even if you did the method in the video. 2: When making the skill jump to top of screens, use the rope to jump/use neon speed/jett updraft/chamber tele/omen tele/noclip. Basically anything but crouch. Walk off screens in any way. You will not take fall damage. 3: When making the skill jump to top of screens, hold crouch to easily get there. Jump once or crouch once to reset your real location. Walk off screens in any way. You will not take fall damage. 4: When making the skill jump to top of screens, hold crouch to easily get there. When making the skill jump to top of screens, use the rope to jump/use neon speed/jett updraft/chamber tele/omen tele/noclip. Basically anything but crouch. Walk off screens while crouching. You will take 15 damage even if you did the method in the video. I think that you may have used noclip to get back up for the tip so you accidentally didn't take any damage. When crouching to "glitch" up the platform, the game assumes you are crouching even if you stand up until you jump or crouch again. If anyone can tell me where I went wrong then please reply.

You are correct. But actually you can just crouch for 0.1 seconds and uncrouch while still on screens and you will not take damage when walking off. Crouch jumping has a bug that makes the game think you're still crouching which messes up fall damage so you need to crouch or jump again to reset it.

Reason is due to crouch jumping bug. If you get on screens with crouch jump then crouch again or jump to reset your crouch status, you will take 0 damage. He probably noclipped back up and accidentally thought the tip worked.
