Valse no. 1 by Khiem Nguyen-Duy, interpreted by the amazing guitarist Thu Le. Purchase the score/sheet music at khiem.org/sheetmusic/
In Valse no. 1, I tried to create a feeling of romanticism, positivity, and most of all, hope, as its first idea was written at the start of spring 2021 when the dark-cold winter was just over.
My suggestion for tempo is about 135bpm for melancholy feeling, and about 155-160bpm for more lively mood.

Her last name is Lê, not Lee. I’m pointing this out because this one extra letter can cause someone to confuse between a Vietnamese name a Chinese name. Lê is a distinctive Vietnamese last name. Thank you for admiring her talent but let’s please respect her heritage as well. She is an extremely talented guitarist. ❤

Thank you very much Bill! We did this recording properly in a recording studio, so the recording equipment were good and Thu Le is amazing as always. Have you heard of Agustin Barrios? His music is amazing. He was living in late 19th, early 20th century. Please check him out, especially his La Catedral composition.
