I’ve bought a brand new 2020 model Whaley 310. I have a 6hp 4 stroke Yamaha short shaft 2006 model. Tried in on sea with 6mph winds, the engine is about 2 and half inches lower that what should be and even trimming it up causes a lot splash water to flood inside, it’s true that it doesn’t sink but takes the meaning of a wet ride to another level. It I instal a diy engine raise plate, it will affect the boat seaworthiness. Not sure why they designed the transom lower... they are not cheap so research well, thinking about now I would probably go for a polycraft, or pioneer, or funyak .
Добрый день! Не могли бы вы сделать видеообзор на Whaly 310 c мотором 5 л.с. и 2 людьми на борту. Как можно купить эту лодку и доставить в Россию. Спасибо вам за красивые видео.
Do not buy this dinghy! I received a recall notice from Whaly USA with a new weight placard to be installed. The rated weight capacity from the USCG was dropped almost in half to 3 people plus gear, motor and fuel. I've asked Whaly to buy it back for false advertisement of the weight capacity, because these specs were not the case when I purchased, they told me that that it's always been this way and that I was looking at the manufacturer website which has a different certification. I used the internet way back machine to look at the 310 specs on their site the day that I purchased, sent them the proof that they were BSing me, they haven't responded. Doing my small claims filing next week. The dealer that sold the Whaly 310 to us, stopped carrying it due to customer issues. This thing is fine for rowing around Grandma's pond, but that's about it.
