No, he won the Russian gp but was asked to give the win to Lewis. Also, Valtteri gave the Monza win to Lewis. Valtteri was 3rd in the championship but thanks for the team orders he had to give points to Lewis.

Great interview! Valtteri is a prince! Perhaps some of some of you saw the official video of him walking through the Mercedes museum at the end of his last year at Mercedes. Valtteri was being non-renewed in favor of George Russell. He went round to the various cars he had won his 10 victories in. I was so emotionally moved I was near tears. A must see. Type in Memory Lane With Valtteri Bottas.

Thanks Marc,great conversation. Valterri just showed how much his focus and personality will,hopefully keep him as great team leader as well as an example to up and coming racers. We should also realise what a great teammate he was to Sir Lewis!

Valtteri has so much class; he was the ultimate team player at Mercedes. I’d love to see him in a winning car, but it’s great to watch him drive for a team where he can be a team player without having to sacrifice. He speaks about Toto with nothing but respect, but I doubt I’m the only fan who yelled some unkind words at the TV for team decisions. He’s great on and off the track.
@magicofshootingstar
@magicofshootingstar 10 дней назад
@urbanbeachbum2148 Toto was in Valtteria management group before he got to the Mercedes and he is there again. They are mates and Toto has done a lot of good for his career outside the years he drived for him. So it would be weird if he talked about him with something but respect. If he was helping Valtteri in Mercedes years can be up to debate though 😉

Bottas is a good qualier at times in a pointy car. I'm surprised he's lasted this long after his back issues, and is there any more heart breaking footage in F1 ever when he won at merc, and he returned to the greenroom and not one of the engineers was there...all so used to lewis...they didn't support him in his win.

I think you can see the similarities of Lewis at McLaren v. Lewis at Mercedes & Valtteri at Mercedes v. Marc, hi first of all great interview. Second of all thank you. Ive been playing the F1 games since 2010 and whilst it initally hurt not having the community's Jeff over time I really like your delivery its a calming voice dubbed over Codemaster's repetive line dialogue. So thank you, i've just subscribbed & keep up the good work. My only wish, when you head to Birmingham for F1 25 recording sessions please tell the script writters to come up with some new dialogue i've heard it since 2015 haha

To be honest Mercedes should of picked Wehrlein
@Warrioruk
@Warrioruk Месяц назад
Gosh Wehrlein was so good. He was the youngest DTM champion in 2015 aged 20 and scored points with the Manor and Sauber (the slowest cars respectively). He didn't get the Force India seat, cuz he apparently made "bad comments" about the car. Then he wanted to leave the Merc academy leading to Toto dropping him.
@F1Guy-Guy
@F1Guy-Guy Месяц назад
@@Warrioruk He didn't get the force India seat due to being the poorest driver without any means of outside sponsorship other than a useless contact with Mercedes. He was actually a really hard worker who started as early in the garage as possible and left turning the lights off to also spend as much valuable time with the members of his teams like his engineers and mechanics and he was the nicest person you could ever imagine
