As per Value chain definition, it is a model that explains how businesses receive raw materials as input, add value to the raw materials through various processes, and sell finished products to customers.

HR adds value by expertly recruiting, retaining, developing the talent required in each department, Information technology is connected to each department and adds value through maintaining security, integrity and information accuracy. Procurement is sourcing and purchasing your coffee beans or whatever is your input.
