The trick is, i build everthing by Hand! Without a Milling machine or Router

Die Pläne liegen als PDF vor, sind metrisch und enthalten neben Detailansichten in 3D auch Montageanleitungen. .... in the beginning....i hated filing ... but I had no milling cutter ... I had to do it over filing .... and heard me with the thought: the first machine was not built by a machine either ... now i love it ... because i noticed how much personality there is in the work. Machine work is to be respected ... an issue in itself. But handicraft creates a true connection to what you build

I am really enjoying your videos You must have the steadiness of a dentist in your hands to produce such small parts so perfectly especially creating the exhaust cavity in the valve with a burr in a rotary tool . Keep the videos coming and a Merry Christmas to you

Während meiner Ausbildung mussten wir monatelang von Hand Sägen und feilen. Winklig, Plan, parallel in 0,02 mm und nur um alles wieder erneut ab zu Sägen und zu feilen... Ich könnte es wohl noch immer. Ob ich es wieder mal versuchen soll? Aber ich glaube nach ner halben Stunde hätte ich die Schnauze gestrichen voll...😄

Hallo, danke für deinen Kommentar! genau darum geht es! Um Handarbeit...Anfangs wollte ich eine Lokomotive bauen... dann merkte ich schnell was dafür benötigt wird. Also versuchte ich so viel wie möglich von Hand herzustellen. Schließlich wurde die erste Maschine auch nicht von einer Maschine gebaut ;) Herzlich willkommen hier! Das ganze bleibt werbefrei! Teil es gerne weiter! Auf das es viele inspirieren mag! Gruß

@@dreamsteam8272 ... das stimmt... Maschinenbau ist Anpassungsarbeit ( Passen und Fügen )...bin selbstständiger Werkzeugmacher😉. Ich habe eine sehr gut ausgestattete Werkstatt ( auch mit CNC😅 ) habe aber auch sehr oft die Feile und Reißnadel in der Hand. Also, wenn Du mal was brauchst ( Teil, Teile )...sowas unterstütze ich sehr gern😉. Sag gern Bescheid...

What do you clean your files with? They must get clogged filing brass

I clean them with a wire brush. And prevent clogging, i use chalk

Ist es leichter eine Modell Dampflok (45mm) zu bauen die mit einen Gleichstrom Zylinder angetrieben ist?

Hm 🤔 gute Frage.... Wie leicht grundlegend solche Arbeiten sind, liegt am Werkzeug, und am Modellbauer selbst. Ich denke Grenzen gibt es dort keine. Der Betrieb wird einfacher sein, weil es keinen Heißdampf nötig macht. Aber die "Ventilfunktionen" stellen den Modellbauer schon auf die Präzisionsorobe. Das einzig gute ist, das eine mechanische Zylinderentwässerung ausbleibt 😉Nichts was ich als Einsteiger mit minimalem Maschinenpark ansetzen würde. Probier es einfach! Wenn du nach den ersten 5-6 Fehlschlägen immer noch wieder neu Anfängst... solltest du dabei bleiben.... dann hast du es im Blut! 😉

@@dreamsteam8272 ich hatte noch nie eine gebaut bin gerade dabei einen richtigen Kesseltyp zu finden, zwei Kessel hatte ich gebaut aber nach Mängeln hatte ich diese dann aufgegeben und bin jetzt bei einen Marine Kessel gelandet hoffe das der funktioniert😆, aber ist vielleicht auch ein bisschen doof von mir das ich gleich mit Kohle Kesseln anfangen möchte aber ich finde die anderen so reiz los zum bauen😐😁

Aber ich bin auch der der immer einen Tag lang ein heult wenn ich einen Kessel falsch gebaut habe wegen den verschwendete silberlot🤣

Was gibt es eigentlich noch für Arten die in dieser Größe der Modell Loks eingebaut werden?

@@Pyrokartoffel Hallo, Danke für dein Interesse! ich überlege gerade die Lok mit einem Gasfeuerkessel auszustatten, aber auch parallel einen Kohlekessel zu bauen! Allerdings hat beider Spurweite die Kohle einen extremen Nachteil! Das Feuer will genau "justiert" sein und unterhalten werden.... also entweder läuft man ständig hinterher, oder ist klein genug zum mitfahren :) Wenn du Anregungen brauchst, Ich habe in meiner Videobeschreibung einen Link, auf der Seite (ist zwar Französisch) findest du annähernd 1000 Baupläne zum Thema Dampf! Vom Traktor, zur Stationären, Kesselarten, Dampfloks, Waggons, Dampf LKW´s, in den unterschiedlichsten Größen. Die Kostenlosen Downloads sind PDF Din A 3 in metrisch sowohl als auch in Imperial (Zoll). Schau dich da mal um, dort findest du auch Einsteiger Modelle und Modelle bis Spurweite 120 mm einfach mal schnüffeln! Bleib dran! lass dich in den Foren nicht runterkriegen! Ich sage immer, wer nur einen Weg kennt, hat die Welt nicht gesehen... Hau rein!

Amazing what craftsmanship can be accomplished with a file and steady hand. Do you use lacquer or shellac to coat the brass?

Thanks! 🤔 coat the Brass? Never mind that.... its a functional valve Part... and all others are moving parts.... i think a good Polish will do the Job....

Why would you hand file a steam valve by hand when you have a lathe

Because i want to......and not everyone Gas a lathe, or a mill, like me in my beginnings... and mastering basic tools is more sadisfying to me, than let the machine do the job... its a kind of meditative work to me. The first machine was not build by a machine.
