Appreciate the videos as always. Thin Bloods should have taken a note from their elders and organized, turned on vampire kind. Gone full-on blade and worked with some of the Hunter conspiracies. Would love a video on the different paths of enlightenment, to compare and contrast them with the Dharmas of the Kuei-jin. I'm also obsessed with learning more about the Yama Kings. Fuck it, top 10 video of the best or worst instances of Amaranth.

Generally I prefer the world being more divided between Anarchs sabat and Camarilla, I just like the anarchs having a bit more organization than just “3 cities for a few decades” and prefer it being a 3 way war

Man, these videos are incredibly impressive. I don't know if it's the voice, the music or both, but I find the narration so relaxing, I often rewatch them at night and fall asleep listening to contrived vampiric schemes :). Also, in my opinion these are, by far the best lore videos around. All done by a guy with no profile picture, no drama and no shilling, just a bit of b&w art and some style. Makes you feel like youtube isn't completely owned by Pentex and there's still some of the old internet around.

This is one of the things I think Vampire: The Requiem got right. Its use of multiple competing sects with differing ideologies and philosophies regarding leadership and the vampiric condition seemed to work better than overloading the game with various (and often overspecialized and redundant) clans and bloodlines.

as of 2023, in terms of military strength and influence and numbers I would put the Sabbat as a distant 3rd place. the #1 is still the Camarilla with #2 as the Anarchs. Sabbat got mauled in the 2010s by a combination of the sabbat crusade in the Middle East and the 2nd inquisition, when the 2nd Inquisition starting doing their hunts, the most visible were the Sabbat, many Sabbat were destroyed by the 2nd inquisition and also by follow up Technocracy forces(in my opinion the true architects of the 2nd Inquisition). also with the defection of many Lasombra to the Camarilla, and Tzimisce going their own way, The Sabbat as of 2023 is probably the smallest of the three sects with a decentralization of command similiar to that of the Anarchs. The sabbat power structures got shattered a decade or so ago, now the sabbat is like a terrorist organization functioning in gangs and cells. The Sabbat still control a few cities(Madrid, maybe a few cities in the Middle East and Eastern Europe)is now under Camarilla control. WIth the loss of their earlier power structure, the sabbat is now poorly coordinated, and the packs do their own thing.

This was cool but it is kind of sad that you don't at least mention the sects from the secondary continues like the Independent Alliance out of the by night studios larp edition

Camarilla may espouse humanity as its "path of enlightenment" but there is a small underground of path of enlightenment or roads of those other than humanity, with path of power and inner voice and road of kings being the most substantial and influential. as its ranks were bolstered by large numbers of defecting Lasombra from the sabbat. also Path of honorable accord or Road of Chivalry being a second, also Path of lilith has been in the camarilla for a while now, but its very much small and underground. Path of Entelechy among the Camarilla Brujah is also there .

Yah the Anarchs now comprised mainly of Brujah, Gangrel and Caitiff. just do their own thing very poor coordination unless its to the defense of their shared domains. the strongest domain or sub sect of the anarchs was the Brujah council who ruled the USSR and warsaw pact. during the cold war. Now extinct due to Baba Yagas Purge.

Has anyone else homebrewed their own sects? I honestly think it's just as interesting, if not more so than homebrewing clans

Well from how Paradox has handled VtM and WoD lore in general for V5, I think its safe to assume that VtMB is canon to the V5 timeline but is non canon in the V20/Revised timeline. V5 is pretty much a soft reboot anyway and Kuei-jin have already been retconned out of the setting, now lets not even get into V5 Hunter and Werewolf which are just straight up reboots.
