Couldn't agree more!! I've always adored Vampire weekend but for some reason never seen them live, after seeing this whole set I have even more respect for them! Unbelievably talented musicians that can actually pull of there very intricate songs with ease, grace and look dam fine while doing so. Epic!!!
@@tombalabombification The guitar work was insane, bit odd some of the sections in the cover like his talking was hit and miss for me but the guitar complexity was insane its like they were feeding off each others talent, they need to do more of that in albums I reckon, amazing stuff.
I know why, because it manages to blend weird stuff like classical music, African beats, and summer rock all together and it still appeals to everyone and sounds awesome!
Funny to see that Vampire Weekend was just a small band in the 2000s like it wasn't gonna go anyway but when A-Punk was released it changed my mood of life, Everytime i hear this i just start jumping and going energetic.
Johanna drove slowly into the city The Hudson river all filled with snow She spied the ring on His Honor's finger Oh, oh, oh A thousand years in one piece of silver She took it from his lily white hand Showed no fear, she'd seen the thing In the young men's wing at Sloan-Kettering Look outside at the raincoats coming, say oh Look outside at the raincoats coming, say oh Hey, hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey His Honor drove southward seeking exotica Down to the pueblo huts of New Mexico Cut his teeth on turquoise harmonicas Oh, whoa, oh I saw Johanna down in the subway She took an apartment in Washington Heights Half of the ring lies here with me But the other half's at the bottom of the sea Look outside at the raincoats coming, say oh Look outside at the raincoats coming, say oh Look outside at the raincoats coming, say oh Look outside at the raincoats coming, say oh Hey, hey, hey, hey
look at this, 2019 we’re there was smiles during summer and festivals. now look at us now. we’ve could’ve had this this year, but some of us made a little mistake
Arctic Monkeys are way more important and influential in this decade, Vampire Weekend is good, a great and big band but not the greatest band of the decade. (I don't like arctic monkeys btw, pd: don't mention Kevin Parker please, he was a great person until he was killed in 2015 by an assassin called currents, let him rest in peace)
This damn song has played every time I plug my iPhone into my car for nearly a decade because I was stupid enough to buy it from the iTunes Store. At this point I’d rather hear the sound of my mother begging for her life.
Ha, I remember going on holiday with my dad, and every time he connected the phone to the car via Bluetooth for satnav, it automatically started playing the same AC/DC song at full volume
I do wonder, though: why couldn't you delete the song? Or was it one of those situations where you forget about it until it happens again, swear to deal with it at the first opportunity, and then forget again until the next time
Goggled Agog if you know how to delete purchases from iTunes please tell me. I can delete it physically, but it’s forever in the list of things I’ve purchased over the years, so it’ll stream play even if it’s not downloaded.
@@justindchaney I'm not sure that you can delete it, but I think if you hide it, it shouldn't appear in your list. But I don't have iTunes currently installed, so I can't test it. Search for "apple support Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books"
Imagine this with Dolby Atmos... With a custom built home theater system with both vintage speakers and modern ones, plus a couple of 4 inch car speakers. And a classic sharp projector from December of 2000
