Hello Sir. I am a Danish veteran having been four times down range during which I have worked with some of your countrymen in both green and blue. On behalf of the dead veterans that you always thank for their service I would like to thank YOU for your support. It is not often that popu, lar people on YT publicly express good will towards veterans, so I thought I just wanted to pay my respect to you. Take care and thank you for your excellent channel and the way you present your episodes. Tino, Denmark.
My great uncle passed away in 1924. In the mid 1960's, my grandmother did not want him buried alone so had him moved to rest along side my grandfather and herself when the day came. For some reason, his coffin was opened. His body was perfectly intact until the air hit the body. At least now he is resting with family beside him.
If I were a elementary school teacher, i would have one class a week that we would watch this channel , so nicely done with respect and true facts of the history of this great country, thank you Ron, I hope that you know that you and your hard tasteful work doesn't go unnoticed and is respected,
Ron you are a amazing story teller. I so enjoy watching you videos. My 20 year old son came out the other day when I was watching the Memphis Belle video and he sat down and watched it with me. I would love to hear about your trips to the Arctic. Many thanks for the time and effort you put in to make sure these people are not forgotten. Hello all from Australia. Stay safe.
As a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, I'm proud to see the flags and markers placed by local DAR chapters. The east coast DAR chapters are very dedicated and honor our Revolutionary War veterans in every cemetery. It is part of our mission to ensure our veterans are not forgotten 🇺🇸
Thanks, actually there’s a San Diego author that’s been working on my story for about a year and a half that should be done next year of all of my adventures, so I think I will announce it on the channel when it comes out, why not right?
It’s so fascinating to me to see the grave stones of people from the 1700s! Imagining their lives, learning about some of them is just fabulous. Another great story. 👍 Excellent animation & sounds added Ron!
I've never thought about the correlation between a consumption patient and how much they resemble drawings of vampires. That makes sense! I'm loving the Revolutionary War graves as well. Wish I could go back in time and meet a few of them. Great video! ❤️
One of my favourite "Tombstone Stories" was from the South, somewhere near Savannah, GA (1800's) perhaps, where a man was killed by the church bell he was ringing. That it was written on his stone was so odd. The American Colonial cemeteries have some of the best stories.
@@FacesoftheForgotten Roswell GA was one of fav cities for Union generals. So not burned down. They have a ghost story night, great little city in orginal structures and different almost unknown tiny cemeteries very old. can tell you more if interested
That was interesting, old myths were what they lived their lives by in those times, plus lack of our medical knowledge we have today. Lovely old cemetery with so much history. Thank you Ron. 🇦🇺
I was born and raised in the area. I got homesick watching this. It very beautiful. You do a wonderful job with your channel. You are an artist. There's alot of history up there
Thank you Debi. Actually I’m pivoting more to this kind of stuff; vintage stories. I am here in New England now so I’ve got several of the like coming up -- developing more of my my artistic composition more and more, as I produce more episodes. I think you’ll like them.
Tuberculosis is very contagious. I could bing watch your videos all day long. Thank you for all the traveling and research u put into your channel to inform us and entertain I appreciate it.👍😊💖
Etching of people's names, other details, date of death, etc still remains so clear on those stones. The lettering and decorations are painstakingly done and have withstood the test of time. Just fascinating to see!
Loved the inserts there fearless leader....great show tonight 😎. Have a safe week traveling and finding more intriguing goulish stories for the FOTF GANG 💗🕊️
Hi Ron. Great video. Beautiful place. Ignorance still remains a problem today. How sick these poor people were and they must have suffered for a long time before dying.
Thank you, and thanks for the feedback I wasn’t sure if people would like the animation but it seems like they do, so I will sprinkle it in once in a while
What an awesome video and story. I liked all the additional pictures and animation you did. I like spooky and eerie stories. You always have the history and facts. You're awesome.👍❤
Oh thanks for the feedback on the animation, I’ll do a little more of that from time to time here and there, when it fits the context of an episode. 👍👍
Staying in an watching all the Halloween movies 🍿 an watching all these great Halloween episodes from You .That cemetery definitely has a Gothic feel to it . Thank you Tommy the cat an Ron for this great tale . Always appreciate these episodes
Wow ron, I could stay in that Cemetery and look at all those pre Revolutionary war headstones from morning til closing, maybe even the next day as well!!! So much of our precious history there, that's priceless
Oh wow those dates are unreal!!! there are a lot of cemeteries in my home town of Milan, Indiana including a civil war cemetery that's is very small on a hill ,they put a guy there every 4th of July who stands watch all day . Would love to show you sometime .
Here in Kentucky there some so old you can't read , of course a lot too poor for them and its eroded rock ,family cemetery just a walk from here has some that old
Great episode. Love the old ones. Hard to wrap your head around the fact they lived in the 1700s. That is almost 400 years ago - some were born. Can you tell me the brand of your 9000 flashlight?. I want to get one. Thank you for entertaining us and i am glad you didn’t get zapped by that electrical fence. You would have had to do the show in a soprano voice. 🤣
Revolutionary War and times....what a find of a cemetery. I think these dates are the oldest I’ve seen you report on. The visual effects of the heart and fire are amazing. Brings excitement to the story. Thanks again Ron for a great cemetery adventure!
WOW! If you are ever in Calif or New Orleans you should do a vlog on Gram Parsons. He was a signer that influence artist such as the Eagles. He found and got Emmlylou Harris her start. After his death his body was stolen and taken to the desert and burned. Him and his music should not be forgotten! RIP Gram Parsons!
Oh wow, that's an old cemetery, it's so interesting to see how far back a lot of those stones date back too. It's sad that so many people back then died so young due to all those different diseases that there were back then. I'm so glad you did this video Ron, getting to see those 200 year old gravestones was really nice. I enjoy getting the chance to learn about the history of the past. Stay safe on your trip Ron.🙂💟
I could walk all day, everyday in silence behind you listening and looking and all these old cemeteries, I walk the old cemeteries myself as the old gravestones are the most beautiful. Your passion really shines through with the work you do on your channel! BIG THANK YOU, I just found your channel, I'm addicted❤
one of my favorite episodes here....never heard of the Corwin bothers case until now and im totally intrigued .....Strigoi folklore is the origin of most tales and cases like this, i hope someday you embark on european adventures ...this Vermont trip was so much fun thanks for takin us along sir......I predict you hit 100k subs before labor day brother ROCK N ROLL!!
FYI - Rockford Illinois just held a Memorial Service for over 600 forgotten people buried on the Northwest side of Rockford at the Poor farm behind the River Bluff Nursing Home. A 13 year old Boy Scout found it and got permission to clean it up for a project for the Scouts. No markers just numbers. There was an interesting story on 23 News about it. Thought you might be interested in checking it out.
Great video ty R.I.P. to all in grave yard. You think back in those times I’m sure somethings happen like a new sickness un telling what those poor souls thought. Very interesting loved the older years on the tomb stone and to see what shape they are today amazing.
I feel really bad for the family that had loves ones dug up then had stuff like that done. I hope He at peace and I love vampire legend and at one time was into vampires a lot. What a background story lol. Great show I really did enjoy Sir Thank you so much. I also love old graves the tombstones that were made is amazing. The ones of today will not last to 200 years trust me on that story. Have a wonderful week. Until next time take care.❤🇺🇸
That was so interesting ! And loved the animations put in , gave me a fantastic excuse to stop the housework lol ! I actually am fascinated by vampires & have watched & read SO SO much on how they used to think people were vampires & put a stake through their hearts in the coffin , but I have never heard of the heart being taken to the blacksmith ! Amazing story & so well done , thank you as always 💜
So what happened to stakes thru the heart🤷🏻♀️ also eating hearts is a form of cannibalism. Great story and wonderful to see the Revolutionary soldiers graves ❤️❤️
It was pretty neat to see the gravestones of soldiers from the Revolutionary War! People from that era could never imagine their resting places being filmed and viewed by people all over the world.
A little taste of home. So great. I hope one day you can visit downtown Boston’s Granary Burial ground, where the fabled Mother Goose is buried and quite a few historical figures. Kings Burial Ground is down from there on Tremont Street. I miss the New England area so much.
@@deboralavalley2577 When I lived there I took all that history for granted. Now I visit and can’t get enough. I used to pass by the Old North Church everyday. I never cared. Now I’m amazed by it. Maine is awesome too. History everywhere.
Thank you Ron! I enjoyed the video. That was so cool seeing all those really old gravestones. My grandmother had TB when she was young. I had no idea they actually performed a ritual by removing the person's heart and burning it in a forge and even sometimes eating it. Talk about ritual cannibalism. I'll stick to holy communion.
Great story Ron. Beautiful cemetery. A lot of old tombstones that actually are in great shape. Funny thing the bugs flying I’ve smacked my ears several times thinking they were buzzing me lol 😂
I just wanted to share that I love your channel it is so interesting and fun it gives me shivers sometimes lol ! But I am a crocheter and so I sit down with my crochet Project and I listen to your stories and I just enjoyed so much I thought I’d share thank you your friend Sue. 🧶
I would of loved to grow up & gotten to know this man, & then became close friends with him, as in fascinated by his work he does. From the research, to his travels, to these very old Cemeteries! 😊 Thank You again Sir! Great Channel!!! 👍
Ron have you seen the vampire kits they would carry later in the 1800's? I have seen a few show up on auction sites. They contained a stake, a mallet, bottles of I am not sure what and more. They also would put bricks in their mouth in to prevent them from getting blood and resurrecting. Amazing stuff and even more amazing is that people are still very superstitious in parts of the country and world in spite of science.
Greets from Holland and the Philippines...i love your movies. About relgion...i believe its responseble for a lot of misery in this beautiful world. If you ever come to Holland or The Phillss.
