i feel like im watching a documentary. thank you for showing the real manila. might not be the most beautiful country but this place is full of beautiful people. You know what the Little Prince book said, "what is essential is invisible to the eye"
Isis Martinez same, but at the same time, for some reason, i'm so happy for Bree (the kid) and like the way brad interacted with her made me so happy idk why but yeah ♥♥♥
I was looking at the comments and I'm really sorry but I have to say that a lot of people are just selfish and narrow-minded. And it sucks that some Filipinos are embarrassed about the slums. The Vamps didn't even feel disgusted. Why can't we just be thankful that they appreciated the Philippines for how it naturally is? I mean, we don't have to pretend to be rich because no matter what, we're still a periphery country. And to those fans who got annoyed because of our loudness, does it make us less of a fan? We're humans too, we get excited and that's some shit you have to accept. And besides, our favs rarely go here, so we would't want to waste our chance.
Brad: We just finished that gig at the PHILIPPINES or *points at the shirt thats says 'PILIPINAS' (tagalog of Philippines) this doesn't say Philippines, they spelt it wrong. GOSH I WAS JUST LAUGHING SHIT HE'S SO DAMN CUTE!
I'm absolutely proud of The Vamps for visiting a place like the Philippines. I know for a fact that all of their fans there will forever cherish them for visiting their country. Bringing the boys to the poor side shows them a different view of life they've never seen before and I'm sure they saw that opportunity as a learning experience. I love my homeland, regardless!
I'm from the Philippines and this vid made me even love The Vamps more. They act so natural and and normal. They never let fame get into their head. Though I was kinda sad because I didn't manage to meet them nor to see them up close in personal. I am hoping that the next time they'll visit our country again, I'll be able to see them and hug them. I love these boys so much.
I've watched this video a lot already! I just can't get enough of this. There truly are A LOT of beautiful places and sceneries in the Philippines. I am a Filipino, and you know what? I'm not embarrassed about the part where it featured the shacks built on the river, you know what I'm truly embarrassed about? It is some of you who are Filipinos as well who are ashamed of the truth. I'm really glad that their guide showed it to them, not everybody is as lucky as them to be able to tour the world or just simply having clean water to drink. That experience had somehow opened their eyes. Read James' instagram/tweet about it, it might enlighten you to see beauty in the most unexpected things in life. And don't blame Dean, he saw beauty in it...you should too.
I was literally crying watching this video the whole time. Even though I'm not able to go at gig or signing, but seeing them enjoying Philippines it makes me cry a river. Even when they visit the poor area still makes burst into tears.
sorry if filipinos "annoys" you for screaming infront of their faces. we tend to do so because sometimes we never get a chance to meet our faves in personal. if we get a chance, that may or may not be the last one we will ever to see them personally.
Miggz Caibal sorry to interfere with your comment i am a filipino myself too but, that doesnt make up for screaming right to a person's face. yes a PERSON bc these celebs are human too and they also get annoyed and uncomfortable with that which the crazy fans can pass of as rude when in reality it is just them being uncomfortable.
This was basically the most viewed among other videos on their World Tour. Thanks, mate for making your Filipino fans wear their best smiles.😁🙌 Hats off to this BAND!🎩🙌💪
It's amazing how arrogant some of the fans here are. Come on. You cannot dictate how people, especially fans, SHOULD react to them. Get over yourselves. Who knows, these guys might have loved these girls fangirling over them on that level? It might have gotten them hyped for their concert. No harm was done. It was pure happiness. How can you hate on that? Jeez! And Filipinos shouldn't apologize for being and acting excited. Be proud you welcomed the guys on a positive note. But that craziness in the mall parking lot, THAT was dangerous.
I was there..... hahaha..... kasama ako dun sa mall signing and yes.... the parking lot thing was crazy. After nung signing, nagtakbuhan agad yung fans and yeah napaisip ako kung san sila pupunta kasi.. well... they were all running! So I followed them to the parking lot... and dun ko lng na -realize na they were gonna wait for them so... sumali ako hahha and may naging kaibigan akong guard... waiting for them was actually fun kasi nakausap namin at nakakulitan yung mga guards. Nung lumabas na nga sila, dun lang medyo humigpit yung security pero nakikita ko yung ibang talaga hinahabol yung van tapos yung mga guards napapahabol din. Hhahaha.. it was a very cool experience soooo yeah..... yey! :D
Loki'd Avatar Yeah. Glad people had fun. About that parking lot thing, I was more worried about the girls' safety than the band members'. You guys could have been ran over by the band's van. That would have been disastrous on both ends. LOL! Just take care of yourselves while fangirling. Haha.
I wasn't able to come in your concert because of school and I'm living in a far away province. As soon as it was announced that you will be having your concert here, I jumped for joy, but then cried at the same time because I knew that I won't be able to come. I believed it when James said that you're gonna come again next year hopefully. I do wish that you will come here by summer time, and I will travel to Manila without and doubts. Ilysym Vampette 5ever!
Couldn't be more than happy to be in this vid! Esp being a Singapore fan and to be there at Manila to watch them live. Thank you Dean for capturing these beautiful moments, especially Connor and Brad playing the NERF guns cos we bought them. LOLZ. Reminiscing my happy moments now, thank you The Vamps, Dean, and Manila and anyone else! 💕
And the part when the lady said brad can I touch your hair please brad said yes the lady said OMG I like your hair hahaha lol my two fave parts of this clip is when the lady touches brads hair and when the other lady touches connor.. Lol
I really hope the Philippians Fans really do realise they shouldn't be embarrassed and shouldn't apologise for the towns that the boys saw. They'd never feel disgusted by what they'd seen. In fact probably totally the opposite, they realised how lucky they really are. When you see war and conflict, it hits you how lucky you are not to be one of those refugees, being forced out of your home, separated from family, pets left behind, probably killed, eaten. Manila has lots of natural beauties and the Philippines altogether has thousands. It's painful to think they'd be horrified by what they saw. Seeing a different culture to your normal lifestyle is a lot harder than you think and it makes you think a lot. The boys would never do such thing, me and them. And 100% of fans love them for that. Because we follow in our idols footsteps.
Im a filipino and reading some of these comments sickens me. Some are complaining why they went to the slums instead of the good places.. Yes, the environment in the slums is not the usual environment you would go to but these boys still showed they cared and their love for these type of people despite of their short visit. Did they complain? No. Be grateful that there are still people like them who take their time to do such thing. On the other side, people are complaining about the fans that screams non-stop. Well, sorry if we're that supportive of the band 'cause international artists barely goes to the Philippines unlike in America that you can see how many times in a year. Us, Filipino fans, makes sure that we have no regrets at the end when these celebrities come. We make every second and minute worth it. Sorry, if we were acting (literally) crazy and if some of you were annoyed with how high pitched we were. That's how the fans are here in the Philippines, we're always excited. Hoping you guys understand that..
I watch this video of The Vamps visited the true situation of the poor area of Manila, I feel kind of embarrassed. But I'm happy to see that they are not "maarte" (sensitive). They are positive and not arrogant. Thumps up. boys.
Ahh my home country! Love it for everything it is. Even the poor areas. I get that that boys should see the all the nice stuff about the Philippines (the beaches and resorts), but we also need to face the reality that there is a lot more evidence of poverty in the Philippines. As a Filipino Canadian, I was lucky to not have been brought up in that situation, but I still go home and see these situations. I find that I learn to accept the poverty and I see the Philippines as a beautiful country with such warm and hospitable people. The poverty in a way, is what makes us the people we are. It shapes the people we've become, which is hardworking, and humble people. And to the people bashing on the Filipino fan girls. It's true we are quite loud and can come off as ignorant or obnoxious or whatever. Not that many famous people go to visit the Philippines, so they were all clearly very excited. As a Filipino, I know that typically many Filipino girls are very animated and easily excitable. We put our hearts into everything, and our excitement shows our passion. :) Yeah maybe we are loud, but don't hate on us. If you're Filipino, you don't really grow out of it. Just watch a Filipino basketball game, and you'll understand. :) Love the Philippines! I wanna go home so badly! I hope the boys go back to the Philippines, as well as here in Canada cause I really wanna see them live :) I don't want to hate on anyone, just telling it how I see it. Salamat Friends! :)
To all of you saying that Filipino fans are wild and crazy, yes we are. That's because boybands/bands/artists from different countries as famous as The Vamps are, don't really come here often. And most fans can't see or meet them either because they're not from Manila or they don't have enough money to see them. Or both. So just please understand. If you're in the crowd and you'll be seeing them for the first time I bet you'll scream at their faces too ;) That's it have a good day.
THIS IS THE MOMENT OF OUR LIVES FELLOW FILIPINOS OH MY GOSH IM ACTUALLY SCREAMING THIS IS TOO MUCH AND ALL TE PCD IS COMING BACK I'M SUCH AN EMOTIONAL WRECK. THANK YOU GUYS FOR COMING TO MANILA (and dean for filming!!) ❤️❤️ SALAMAT THE VAMPS!! MAHAL NAMIN KAYO
WHY I DIDN'T HAVE THE CHANGE TO MEET THEM BACK THEN HUHUHU I feel jealous while watching this. I wish i'd known you earlier, i'm still looking forward to the day that all of you will come back to phil 😭
Saaame. I listen to there songs before but I don't even know them cause 2015 is like I'm in grade 6 but now goooosh, I wish I knew them back then. And how I wish I live in Manila
Dammit Dean. You're so good at making this. THANKS THE VAMPS FOR COMING OVER HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES. BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. Tho im kinda embarrassed about the dirty places you've been..... HOPE YOU STILL COME BACK HERE :) AND THE NEXT TIME YOU WILL, WE'LL MAKE SURE IT'S SOLD OUT
Ohmygosh. I'm smiling while crying here, I'm smiling because you enjoyed while you're here in Manila and I'm crying because I didn't see you wile you're here in Manila. I really love you guys! I hope your comeback here will be sure! I love you so much! T^T
Oh my God. I didn't expect to hear Teenagers by My Chemical Romance. Like, it is one of my favorite songs of MCR and I get to hear it from The Vamps which is my favorite band. Please sing it again next year. I would love to hear it live :(
Emile Fabregas yep and he just got signed to a new label and he finally gave us a release date that his new album is coming out in autumn (august/september)
Having only become a Vamps fan about last year, I hadn't even known until today that they came here and I'm just so glad they took everything so positively! They're just so amazing, gosh, I hope they come back and have another concert here!!!!!!!
Loved seeing Connor playing some blues rifs. I really think he belongs with a 6 string in his hands rather than base, but we can't always have everything, right? I hope you guys branch out and get more into rock and blues. 3.5 minute songs are fine for record producers, but I'm expecting to see much more from you guys!! :)
thank you #The vamps for comi'n here in the philippines james, brad, tristan and connor thank you because all of you put a smile in every filipino's faces you are the band that are most influential to all teenagers.. take care and God Speed and God Bless more success
I cried watching this. Not because of happiness but because of sadness. You see, I was supposed to go to their concert. I bought the ticket with my OWN money and it was a VIP ticket. I even made them a scrapbook using my OWN money as well. My mom told me that I could go, but changed her mind on last minute. 2 days before their concert, I was supposed to travel to Manila ( I'm living in Baguio), then that's when she said that I can no longer go. I was so sad that I HAD TO WAIT AND CALM MYSELF FOR 2 MONTHS! I KNOW THAT THIS VIDEO WAS UPLOADED 2 MONTHS AGO AND THIS IS THE ONLY TIME I FELT CONFIDENT OF WATCHING IT BECAUSE I MIGHT BREAK DOWN INTO TEARS! This was even supposed to be my first concert. I was so depressed when my mom told me that I shouldn't and couldn't go that I had to cut! And I never, repeat NEVER even cut before. :( I just wish that maybe they can come again next time... :(
i'm from the Philippines and while I'm watching the first part of the vid it makes me really uncomfortable that their tour guide brought them to the poor places in Manila well maybe i'm kinda embarrass because the vamps have went to a lot of beautiful countries and cities and then they saw things like that here and even myself, i don't go to those places bc it's really dirty and smells bad and it's just really uncomfortable there. i'm really scared of what they thought after they went there but at the same time i hope they saw how positive and friendly the people there inspite of their situation. when they meet fans it made me laugh so loud bc the fans here are really crazy, we're like one of the most hardcore fans in the world and it's really funny. we're so loud and i hope their eardrums are still alright after that and hopefully we didn't scared them that much lmao. well yeah i went to their concert and the vamps were so hyper and i think they really love to perform to their fans and it made me really happy seeing them enjoying too! this is actually my first proper concert and i wouldn't like to spend it any other way. they sound so good live and it was really the best night of my life!!! such talented guys and i love them so much! i fucking want a selfie with them but i swear i won't shout or whatsoever i'm pretty chill tho so yeah i can't wait for them to come back next year!!!
well i think thats the reality you have to face. i think you should be grateful that they went, and toured around manila despite how crazy can fans get (and might consequently disturbed/ruined their /short/ vacation). i hope you could put enough trust in them that they wouldn't be judgmental so as to define a country and its people by their socio-economic status. every country has its own group of less fortunate people too also.. please, please i know those areas smells bad and all but do not, ever, in any way, degrade them. you do not have the right to do so. just like what the boys said be grateful by what you have--dont put it to waste and live your own life while at the same time not hurting other people in your wake.
daylightfades yes i know and i didn't degrade them or what i think i'm just being honest and i swear i'm just an average filipino i'm not rich as well, it just made me uncomfortable knowing that their tour guide brought them there i'm just scared that they might judge our country but i don't think they do bc the vamps are great guys and really kind-hearted people
Brad:we finish our gig in the Philippines (look at his t-shirt) this doesn't spell philippines, spelled it wrong ! xD (They really don't know that the tagalog term of philippines is pilipinas ! xD) STILL CUUUTTEEE 😄😄😄
UGH! The comment section is frustrating the hell out of me. I dare all those commenting about how filthy and dirty the slums of Manila are to go expose yourselves to that environment. Nakakainis kasi kayo yung nagjujudge. I've been a researcher for the past year working in and around slum areas and honestly, i've never seen happier and content Filipinos living their lives in the simplest ways. Ito problema ng bansa natin eh. May problema din ang mga kabataan kasi di marunong gumalaw. :(
Those people are just jealous 'cause they haven't been to the slums. Pathetic brats who think high of themselves just because they live in posh villages and subdivisions. Buti pa ang the vamps, they took the time to see for themselves the other side of manila.
I have a mixed feelings before and after watching this but I am truly grateful they visited Philippines and will come back next year. So glad I got to hear them live. #Salamat
=))) #justsaying
I really was crying when i watched this video. Thank you for giving Philippines a chance TheVamps. And you said the visit in the Philippines was so crazy and that it was the biggest crowd you have been into. proud vampette here, even though i didn't had a chance to go to the concert. I live nowhere in Manila. I'm from Boracay island
Is it meant to be a movie? Cause I think I just watched a movie. 😂😂 GAAAHD!!!! TOO MUCH MEMORIES! PCD IS HUNTING ME RIGHT NOW!!! Come back soon. You promised us for next year! 😭 Yay!!! #SalamatheVamps YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! DEAN YOU'RE SO AWESOME FOR MAKING IT THIS LONG! #TheVampsinMNL *sobs* I miss you guys! 😭😭😭😍❤😊👏😱
Why didn't Australia get singings!!! We never get signings! D: Maybe next time? ;) Looked like you boys had heaps of fun on tour! Well done Dean for capturing all of this!
Seeing you guys has always been my biggest dream and I'm happy that it finally came true! Brad, Connor, James and Tristan genuinely mean so much to me, each of you have fantastic talents and you're very down to earth and so lovable. Thank you because you RISK IT ALL for us to give us the inspiration and HIGH HOPES we need in our lives. Your songs never fail to make me SMILE and feel special like the GIRLS ON TV, even though I am not. I sang my WILD HEART out during your gig in Manila and I would say that I got LOVE STRUCK all over again. You have inspired me in more ways you can imagine and I'm ready to SHOUT ABOUT IT when you visit Manila again :) Thank you to Dean, Waddy & Joe too because without you guys none of this would be possible. Hope to see you again soon! -@saskiasacro on Twitter.
Riva Jill Antolin are you kidding me now? I just find it funny that he said that because he thought it was wrong . . don't even try to be a smartass with me . . tsss
Ohhhh...this is my first time to see this video of the vamps tour in philippines.....my gosh salamat sa pag pasaya saamin g mga the vamps fan (thank you for making all of the vamps fan happy) i really ...like it
i was crying the whole time... it reminded me of how much it hurts to not be able to attend your favorite band's concert. i missed the concert and it still hurts.. i was in a bad mood and i wanted to kill myself *i know its ridiculous* . somebody even called me as an 'overly-attached girlfriend wannabe'... they kept on telling me to give up and stop fantasizing cuz seeing them in person is just too impossible for a dork like me... i always defend them whenever someone tries to say something bad about them.. they are one of the joys of being me..their existence is the only thing i need to survive in this cruel world. i just feel like they're always there whenever im on the edge of breaking down..they are a part of my life now. i would love them forever and the worst part is that they wouldn't even know how much they mean to me. i dont even think theyd notice me... i still kept on believing that.. one day. id get to see them in person. i mean ive been a part of the vamily for less than a year but still, they were everything to me. my love for them is REAL. i dont know if they'd get to read this but i want to say that i love u and i will support u till death... I LOVE U SO MUCH
You're the best Dean. Job well done here. But hope to see you next year and the band. I watched it for 16th times. Only for tonight, haha. Loved it too much.
To the people who think those filipino fans were annoying because they were doing what most fans probably do,piss off will you and i mean that in the nicest way possible. No matter how calm you are, when you see someone you're a fan of you can't actually help but scream cause thats what fans do so please stop posting comments like "screaming at their faces are rude af" because thats what you probably do too im sorry i just had to say something #nohate
I am so happy for the boys, they were so happy and over the moon with a full arena and over 5,000 girls in the Mall Of Asia. well done boys love you tons see you on April 24th in Sheffield xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Really? We have our own opinions to share but don't be too rude to say bad like that. We're fans, and we don't like to hear things like that. They're people, but they do good music so that's why we like them. Can't people don't understand it? They're still people and hearing that bad opinions made them hurt. They're just trying to share the talent that they have, cause they are proud of it. Nevermind. To the Vamps, thank you for visiting our country it's really been a pleasure to see that you're so thankful to be here. Hope you could visit agin :)
I miss you The Vamps ❤ I was there that night and it was one of the most wonderful thing happened to me. I may not always go to your concerts or following your tweets and stuff but I am still a fan and will always be your fan. ❤ SOLID. 😊 5/4/2020 2:23am
all Filipino fans are so crazy! congratz the vamps you give a great performance. hope to see all of you and please come back to philippines :) love you and god bless.
