In this weeks episode of the van build series we go through the steps that it took us to build our shelf over our van seats and install speakers into it. We started by measuring the opening and making a template. The first template ended up not fitting perfectly so we took more detailed measurements and made a second template. From the templates we cut two pieces of birch plywood and cut out speaker holes in them. We then painted both pieces to seal them and got ready to install them. After installing the speakers we placed the top piece of the shelf in the van and got it bolted in. We then installed the bottom piece and screwed them together. The end result was a finished shelf / storage area over our van seats!
