Van Canto isn't exactly a metal band, nor is it a band I would listen to all the time, because it isn't my favourite band. But when it comes down to performing at a live audience, they get things done.
alot of the music I listen to comes from finland.. and one of the bands I listen to was asked why not sing in finnish.. they said they wouldn't make money english is a universal language so its easier to sell

Thx 4 the compliment but i have to return that. Metal people from the past century seem to be the one, that dont understand how wonderfull and brilliant this actually is. Calling other ppl degenerated cause of the fact that ur brain is just not able to take how beautiful and brilliant this band is, is rly poor. I feel sry for u to be stuck in the past and not able to fell whats goin on here. Actually, im glad i do live in 2012 with such bands as VC, and not back in the ´80.....
Actually, yes, you can. The reason why they use normal drums is because otherwise their music wouldn't have enough "power" and I can kinda see their point.
Ich find es immer wieder lustig, wieviele Leute diese Band vor die Bühne lockt. Immer wenn man wen fragt: Hörst du Van Canto? Kommt: Ne, mit dme quatsch kann ich nix anfangen... Scheinen ne menge Lügner unterwegs zu sein :) Ich liebe diese Band seit ihrem ersten Album und hoffe auf noch viele weitere! Besser als 90% des restlichen Metals der dieser Tage raus kommt!
The only bad thing about this gig was that they didn't play anything of the new album except "Primo Victoria". I'm happy to have seen Van Canto five times now. ^^
Music that is a reflection of our time that coming generations can listen to and learn who we were during this time. Music that is in connection with the vast suffering in the world we have today, and the small progresses we are making as a species. Music that is not a circus of awkwardness like this. Music that actually has a meaning and something to say. Music like Van Canto is the exact opposite. It appeals to intellectually childish and damaged people

Not true... the reason they use real drums is because it was hard for the singers to sing the whole song without getting tired, they tried two singers for the drum parts and that didnt help either so they had no option but to use real drums
Somethings rly wrong in your brain my friend, were talking about music. Cheer for the Band u like, stop listen to crap u dont like, and dont argue with fans of a certain kind of music. Ur takin this pretty serious it seems. So what would u call Hip Hop, RnB, Techno, House Dubstep, Pop, Folk ?? Its Music in general, though i dont like it, i dont call it the end of modern world. I think there cant be anything more wrong then listening to HipHop, but i dont write it beneath every Video i find on RU-vid. To get back to VC. They do a great Job with theyre voices, the reproduce the things out of the studio 1on1 on the stage.

You're a disgrace to the metal genre for ignorantly bashing a band with this much talent. -_- As for the lyrics, they're a German band writing lyrics in English. They're not going to be perfect. As a matter of fact, Van Canto is far better than most of the bands they cover.

It is here obvious how extremely easy is to RUIN such performance from behind the knobs. Inga had no signal in microport or what? Too bad, cause, after watching lots of footages I know she's able to sing her parts perfectly.
it's not a bad thing to stick with something your good at. instead of trying something new and different. That is one of the reasons I like megadeth a lot these days instead of metallica. they stuck to their roots for the most part. they didn't try to appeal to the masses. Most of the stuff I listen to is easily 10-20 years older than me. i prefer the older type of music.
Van Canto are just another Type of interpretating Metal itself. Just like each other style like Industrial, Nu, Death, Black, Fantasy, Fun, even White Metal. All those types of Metal are different to the other, have its own type of instruments, have its own types of text and so on. This ist just a nother add to Music, to Metal in general. A capella is usually preserfed for Pop and HipHop, now its part of the Metal world.. i think u gotta deal with it....
