Hello, yes I have the same beautiful bracelet. I, too, do not have a VCA nearby, it's approximately 3 hours from me. Most all of the Vintage Alhambra bracelets are basically the same size, give or take the smallest amount. I tried mine on upon receiving and knew I wanted it larger, basically to make it easier to use the small clasps they use. My SA suggested I measure another bracelet with similar style small links and simply advise her in inches (yes I am in USA). So I lay my VCA beside a Dior bracelet and measured the inside (excluding the clasps), as per the VCA SA. I shipped it back to her, they had to add approximately 1/2 inch and the motifs are re-done so they are perfectly spaced. So very easy and it fits perfectly! It was a simple process. Simply find one of your bracelets that fit you perfectly and lay the VCA next to it. Better a little large than too small! Best of luck and Enjoy your bracelet. If you fret too much, you will destroy the excitement of wearing the bracelet!

I have a Cartier chain bracelet that is also 18cm, the first time I had the guilloche resized it was 17cm and was way too hard to put on and off and in summer it was tight. Now its 18cm and is loose but it is also going into winter here in Aus so it is getting cold and im obvs not as swollen as I would be in the heat so its hard to get a proper judge on it. If they could do 17.5cm it would be perfect but they wont do it in 0.5cm they will only do it in 1cm lots. My new bracelet will be arriving soon so ill see how that one fits. If it was me, I would get one extra link removed. It is a bit too loose for my liking. On the plus side, all the motifs would be evenly spaced :) Thanks for making this video though! This bracelet is also on my wishlist and I too was wondering what to do about resizing so this has helped a lot! I also worked out that 1 link = 0.5cm so when they resized your bracelet initially, they took out 5 links. With the 2nd resizing, you have 3 links removed. The perfect length is 4 links removed. So technically, the bracelet will be 17cm if you go ahead with one more resizing.
Thank you for this fabulous comment. The first time I had it resized it was to 17cm and in the summer it was too snug so I had 1cm added back so now its 18cm. I really think 17.5cm would be ideal but they wont do it in .5cm amounts. I have a new bracelet arriving soon so will see how that fits. So hard living so far from the store. I also wonder because it was tight in summer and now it is going into winter here in Aus if that is making much of a difference in my size perception. I prefer the motifs to be evenly spaced. I have a small wrist so have to resize this bracelet by removing 8 links (I wear size 15 for the Cartier Love bracelet but still find it a bit loose). It looks much nicer now - not tight at all but is a bit difficult to put on every time as the clasp is small.
I would prefer the motifs to be evenly spaced on mine too but unfortunately it doesnt work with my size. The smaller you get it sized down to the harder it is to put on I find this too
That’s good to know! No one I know owns any VCA so I can’t compare it to anyone else so it’s really helpful to know whose has had theirs resized and where it sits on them and how tight it is. Thank you for sharing! 😉
I think you can have the links removed by your local jeweller. I am sure they can all do that and you have the advantage of trying it on. Nevertheless, mine also fits a bit looser. My SA at VCA recommended leaving it a little looser. To me, it feels and looks just fine.
@@billiexluxury my wrist is almost 15 cm (14.75) and mine bracelet is sized to 17cm . It should have movement as it is a chain bracelet. But not so much that it hits counters and the motive gets banged around. If it is too tight it leaves major imprints and looks stuck to the wrist. Hope this helps . Btw I don’t like the twisting method my SA said it weakens the links over time. Personally I feel it is very obvious and looks messy like that.
I just purchased it and went down to 6.5 inches which ending up 6.3 which is not too tight which is perfect as I don’t want it to move. I have a pretty big stack so I don’t want it wandering. Just my opinion.
I would remove. The creation is so beautiful you should not stress but enjoy. Don’t settle, get what you want. I just hate you have to pay to get it to the boutique. If it helps I went to my boutique 3 times to get the correct piece. I was so nervous at first, thinking they would be annoyed. I have no regrets and no anxiety. 💕
Started off with the sweet carnelian bracelet as I thought it would match with my rose gold love and would pass on to my daughter. It wasn’t the vibe. Then I got the malachite pendant. Stunning but I was so nervous about the delicacy of the creation. I finally grabbed the guilloche pendant. Loveeeee and no stress. I learned so much about myself from this experience. Most of all I’m at peace enjoying the creation.
I literally just had this dilemma, I had my 5 motif MOP bracelet originally resized to 18CM which said -4 links got my bracelet back and it was still very big so now I am having it resized again to 17CM which said -8 links. I also should state they LITERALLY removed 4 links I counted them once they were returned in a tiny ziplock bag back to me. I know other people have said one link is two links connected together… but that was not the case for me .
Sounds like you are making a big deal out of the cost in resizing. I would think if you can afford to purchase a Van Cleef you certainly would have money for the cost in resizing. It’s part of the whole game. You wouldn’t want to wear your beautiful bracelet with an outfit from Walmart. I do think your bracelet looks beautiful and you are over stressing. I left my Guilloche alone on the sizing because I also like connecting it with my 10 motif Guilloche necklace. You can also try twisting between the motifs and that gives you a temporary smaller bracelet. Check other videos to get a further explanation. In the meantime enjoy your lovely bracelet! You have great taste!
Hi Maka thanks for your comment. I do enjoy high and low fashion and do wear expensive jewellery with basic clothing. If I lived near the store it would be much easier I could just pop in but when I need to post it there’s extra cost and insurance and stress hoping it will arrive that I would rather not have to worry about but that’s how it is. Just seeing on you, I think it look and feels better for everyday wearing if you take out one more link… for me, it looks a little large and it would be hitting all over. I know, it is a lot to pay for the shipping again, but it is a small price compared with the price of the bracelet and how you will feel when you get the right size. 😌
Aaai yes the hard question. My love is a 16 and my van Cleef is 17cms. I also think it is big on its own and wondering if I should shorten it with 1 cm, but then I loose my 'evenness' in space. I don't know haha. It is always hard. It looks better, I feel, a little looser over very snug. But I love the snug feeling on myself. Just used to bangles. Love this size on you. Sorry I am no help here... ;)
Yes mine is uneven now and it’s annoying 😔 Mine was snug the first time but it fit but it was almost impossible to put on by myself and I always worried it would snag and rip off.. it’s definitely more comfortable now but I wish there was a middle ground like 17.5cm that would be ideal for me but they don’t do that unfortunately

@@stars4295 My bracelet purchased from the Sydney store this year was reduced by 2.5cm. I find the uneven spacing annoying, especially as it sits lopsided when I have my hand down. I was told it would cost me $250.00 to have it resized a second time to 16cm which I was willing to fork out. However whilst in the store I tried on the size 16 dummy bracelet and noticed there wasn’t much of a difference to the way this sat on my wrist vs my actual bracelet. The SA suggested I twist the bracelet a couple of times to reduce the length. It’s a brilliant idea and the lopsidedness disappeared. So maybe give the twist a go.
I have watched VCA RU-vid Video's, and woman just TWIST the Bracelet to tighten it. Maybe watch MEL IN MELBOURNE, She is a AMAZING Lady , she has tiny wrist so ask her her Opion. ☘☘☘
Hi Kelly, thanks for watching and commenting. I have seen people twist them and that’s definitely an option for me. I do worry repeatedly twisting it could over time cause damage to the links but it’s not like mine would need much it’s only slightly too big now. I do watch Mel in Melbourne I love her channel 😍

Thank yo so much for watching! The unevenly spaced motifs are definitely bothering me, lucky they have extended the resizing period to 1 year now so I have plenty of time to decide what to do. I think I will need to have it changed so all of the motifs are spaced the same. Cant wait to share my new VCA bracelet with you when I receive it 😀
